Clarico Celebrancy My name is Theresa, and I am an independent wedding and family celebrant My name is Theresa, and I am an independent wedding and family celebrant.

What is a celebrant, I hear you ask? A celebrant is a person who officiates at ceremonies, not only for weddings but for other ceremonies such as funerals, vow renewals, naming and in fact almost any occasion that you might wish to celebrate or commemorate. My years of experience working in education have helped me to develop valuable skills in public speaking, and coupled with my experience as a

midwife and a public health nurse in the NHS helps me to demonstrate my communication, organisational skills, compassion and the ability to deliver a thoughtful and caring experience to my clients. I specialise in family and wedding events, and pride myself on ensuring that the family and couples that I meet will receive the highest level of attention and detail that they deserve to celebrate that special occasion.

Want to renew your vows? This was me and my hubby 8 years ago. At the time, I only thought I could do this in church but it appears not. I did manage to include our daughters and granddaughter as “bridesmaids” though and my son gave a lovely reading for his Mum and Dad 🥰

If you have stumbled across my page, (or I have invited you!) then perhaps you are planning a very special occasion? Can I extend a warm welcome and congratulate you on your happy event, whether it's an engagement, anniversary or the birth of a baby 🥂 Or you may just be wondering or interested in what this page is all about? Please let me enlighten you.....

I am an Independent Celebrant, certified and insured by the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, and I specialise in wedding, and family celebrations. This means that I can conduct marriage, civil partnership, renewal of vows, micro wedding, elopement and baby naming ceremonies.

What many are unaware of is that for marriages and civil partnerships to be legally recognised, the legally binding section of the service can be very short and basic. This has to take place in an approved venue or Registry Office with two witnesses and an official Registrar present. The three steps that make up this legality are the declaratory words (the lawful impediment part), the contracting words (calling upon these persons present part) and the signing of the marriage register. The rest of the service is all purely ceremonial and can be performed in any location, and by any person, include rituals and symbolisms important to you and that is where a celebrant comes in.

If you have recently had a baby and want to celebrate this momentous occasion with a baby naming ceremony, I can design and conduct this for you at any venue to include god/guide parents as well as your other family members.

I am able to design the above bespoke ceremonies and tailor them according to your individual needs and wishes. This may be a mix of traditional and/or modern aspects along with your own ideas and thoughts on how you wish to celebrate your own treasured moments with the people and family members that love you the most.

If you are planning a special event, why not get in touch with me to discuss your ideas? I would love to hear from you.
