The government recently launched a non-stop luxury train between Karachi and Lahore. Here are some key details that you need to know about the rain:
1. PRICE
Rs 6500 per seat/berth. Children 5250. Kids under 2 years are free.
2. ROOMS: BUNKERS?
Each compartment is of 6 berths.
3. TYPE OF TOILET
2 shared washroom, one each on exit/entry of cabin
4. DURATION OF JOURNEY
Total duration 15.5 hours. Leaves Karachi at 3 PM, reaches Lahore at 7:30 Am following day. Similarly leaves Lahore at 2:30 PM and reaches Karachi at 7:00 am.
5. BOOKING
Tickets can be purchased online via www.pakrail.gov.pk or visit railway stations
6. SEATS/SELECTED
Once doing online booking you can select cabin/compartment/seat. Suggest that you choose cabin 6-11 as they're middle section. Dinning cabin is 8th cabin of total 14 cabins.
7. PAYMENT OPTIONS
Through credit card, debit card, Jazz cash, omni cash and other mobile services.
8. COMPLEMENTARY SERVICES
Afternoon snacks (chicken sandwich, Aquafina water bottle, cup cake,tea)
Dinner (Boneless chicken curry, daal, pulao, kheer in each dish and cold drink)
Breakfast (Omelette, jam, butter, 2 bread slices, tea)
9. TRAIN STOPS
5 minutes stop at Hyderabad, 10 minutes stop at Rohri, 15 minutes stop at Khanewal, 15 minutes at Lahore Cantt.
