I thought I would start with something one of my clients once wrote about me. "She's the queen of getting t

he party started, no matter what the occasion, fabulous at reading the crowd, and she loves to get everyone up dancing!" This comment always makes me smile as it's what I try and achieve every time I play. I want people to have fun, let their hair down relax and most of all enjoy the music I play and dance the night away! I started DJing over 2 decades ago in the UK, back then I loved Indie music and that's how I got involved in the DJ scene, as a girl it was a bit of a novelty, but I loved it, from playing in friends gardens to events and parties it was a fun hobby.

I returned to my home island of Jersey back in 2001 and started working as a TV Journalist and Producer for ITV Channel, looking after all the entertainment coverage. Producing and presenting festival programs for ITV2, eventually moving into News.

Over the next few years, I started to settle back into island life and decided to turn my hobby of DJing into a career, instead of starting small I went straight into one of the islands busiest nightclubs, I took on Kasbar made it my own, and became the only female resident DJ in the island.

Over the years I had expanded my music knowledge playing anything from the '70s and 80's to pop, chart, party, disco, old-school house and not forgetting everything after and in-between. Really I’m just obsessed with music!.

I spent years in the DJ box learning my trade. If you live in Jersey I was the one who played all your favorite party hits, took your requests, was not scared to use the mic, and made sure you all had a good time.

So what changed.....

Well, I decided the time was right to leave ITV and enter the corporate and events world of DJing. I now split my time between Marketing, freelance Radio Presenting, and DJing.

After working in nightclubs for years I really wanted to be the one that came to you and not the other way round.

As you might have guessed by now I don’t do things by halves, my first event was a corporate party for a company that employees over 1000 people, and for my second I went one bigger and supported Katherine Jenkins for a sell-out show. Since then I’ve gone from strength to strength playing some of the largest events in the Channel Islands and beyond as well as some amazing wedding celebrations. To sum it all up when you book me I intend to make your event sparkle! I have a vast array of music knowledge, a huge music collection and most of all I want you to have a party to remember...

Another busy DJ day for me!

You can find me on the Jersey Battle of Flowers stage from 7.30pm then I'm scooting off to a wedding at Les Mielles Events Venue where I will be DJing in sync to fireworks that have been mapped to the track by the fabulous Starburst Fireworks Ltd. (Jersey CI)

Then it's time to DJ a party set for a wedding celebration to remember!

Battle of Flowers Countdown! 🌸🎶

The countdown is on to this year's Jersey Battle of Flowers and I'm excited to say that you can catch me performing on the main stage on both Friday and Saturday! So get in early to enjoy the festival atmosphere.

I'll be playing lots of summer tunes to get you in the mood to celebrate the floats as they travel down the avenue!

But remember, the party doesn't stop there, after the parade, —the amazing Sam Ryder will be taking to the stage with a performance to remember!

Weekend Full of Love and Dance! 💕

What an incredible weekend it was with two unforgettable weddings! 🌅

Friday started with a magical reception at Corbiere Phare, a stunning location where we were treated to the most breathtaking sunset. The couple and their guests didn't let the night end, dancing non-stop until the very last song!

Saturday brought me to the beach for a fantastic outdoor wedding reception at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa. This wonderful couple traveled to Jersey with 40 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their special day. The sun shone brightly as they shared their first dance, making it a perfect, sun-kissed moment.

Feeling grateful to be a part of such beautiful memories! 🌟

Over the last few weeks, I've been island hopping back and forth to Guernsey and loving every moment! I've performed at some amazing events including Guernsey's first Day Disco and Aztec Guernsey's Aztecfest.

I absolutely love performing for Aztec it's always such a great crowd especially when the event is set in the open air on such a beautiful sunny day! 🎶🌟 Bring on the next one!

What a week!

From London back to Jersey for an epic Friday—starting with events at Gorey Castle and ending with a Miami Beach party at La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey , both DJ sets included fabulous live music elements. For the Miami Beach party with Flair Entertainment Jersey , it was all about the electric violin, vocals, and bongos. Last night, Sam took center stage on sax for a wedding to remember at St. Brelade's Bay Hotel, Jersey !.

Loving every moment of DJing with live musicians—it really brings my sets alive!

Sorry for the radio silence—it's been a whirlwind few weeks! I've absolutely loved being joined by my Fusion artists on stage at some fantastic festivals across the islands. Having live drums, vocals, and sax has transformed the DJ Mel stage show into something truly special. I can't wait to see what's next for us!

We're now turning our attention to Ibiza corporate parties with two lined up with the full Fusion lineup! We're ready to go and cannot wait!

In the meantime, I'm still out DJing four times a week for corporate events and weddings. Tonight, I'm off to DJ a Spanish Fiesta corporate party at the Lido, Jersey ! I can't wait! 🎉🌟

Last night, I had the honor of helping RNLI Jersey celebrate 200 years with a fantastic ball at the Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society Showground, what an amazing event!

Team Delta Events was once again second to none, and the RNLI Jersey team did the event proud with stunning decor and captivating video creations. I loved being part of this special occasion. Thanks for having me at the RNLI JERSEY - GALA BALL !

On Saturday, I had the honor of being the on-the-day wedding coordinator, master of ceremonies and DJ for an amazing couple.

My duties included ensuring all the fantastic businesses involved were ready for the guests arrival, keeping the marquee clear so the couple could see their stunning tables and flowers, lighting hundreds of candles, rolling out the carpet, organizing photos, announcing arrivals, and handling all the music needs for the day including DJing an entrance to remember incorporating live instruments with Brian White / Tim Horsfall Duo

As the day turned to night I transformed into DJ Mel and was joined by Sam on Sax for a Fusion set that got everyone on their feet! It was a truly magical experience! 🌟💍

🎶✨ Yesterday, I had the honor of being both Master of Ceremonies and DJ for an absolutely amazing wedding at La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey . But the magic didn't stop there... As the evening unfolded, rumors spread that we might catch a glimpse of the northern lights. I didn't want to get hopes up too soon, but when I started seeing posts from islanders witnessing the spectacle, I knew it was time. 🌌 I put on a tune, grabbed my phone, and dashed outside to take a look—and there they were, dancing across the night sky! ✨🌠 Without hesitation, I gathered the brides and led them outside with their guests to witness the breathtaking display and capture that once-in-a-lifetime photo. Moments like these remind me of the magic that surrounds us every day. Here's to unforgettable weddings and unexpected wonders! 💫

🎶🌟 Just recovered from an absolutely epic 4 days of DJing over last weekend! 🎉 Thursday kicked off with 8 hours of non-stop tunes at the Skills Show for the Government of Jersey. Friday was all about bringing Ibiza to the boat show VIP party for Quay.je and Saturday brought an all-day wedding extravaganza where I even hosted a party bus tour, culminating in one epic celebration at the Lido, Jersey It was non-stop energy and unforgettable moments all weekend long! It's been a really hectic few weeks! I've been on and off the island, having fun and enjoying what I love! I now have 7 weddings left in 2023 before I move onto the autumn/winter corporate and festive season! I can't wait!

It's amazing to think how far I have come from my part time job as a nightclub DJ many years ago, to running my own company, DJing just under 100 events this year alone, developing the DJ Mel brand and creating what it is now!
