Mine has been sitting around and I've never really used it so thought I'd give it a go today to dry some lavender for my candle making.

Chucked in some garlic and rosemary from the garden and also a banana!

Starting on the new herb garden. Dug down, pulled out all the weeds, lined with newspaper and topped with yummy compost! New to trying the newspaper trick so will be keen to see how it goes. What a difference to the over grown jungle it was!

Our elf arrived last night and boy did she make an impact! One very happy 11 year old who believes in the magic of Christmas. It's so nice 🎄 I think this may be our last year though

Tonight I had the privilege of attending the Kiwibank Local Hero of the year awards.

To be in the presence of such AMAZING people who do so much for the community was a really humbling experience and I feel so proud of my community. It takes so much time and generosity for what these incredible people do, and to accept recognition is extremely tough because they never want the reward for themselves.

Always remember to be kind, love one another and enjoy every day that you can awake up and be alive🦋🌻🦋🌻🦋
