Capturing Daniella and Wesley’s love on canvas at this enchanting venue was an absolute joy. Brushstrokes blended with the warm glow of the surroundings, immortalizing the connection between them.

During the consultation, they requested that their beloved dog, Muse, also be included. And when I saw the pictures of them with their doggie, I instantly understood how much they adored him (and each other, of course). I love adding pets to a painting, partly because I simply love animals, but also because it includes the furry family member in a meaningful way that wouldn’t usually be practical on a wedding day. Initially, I added Muse to the right of the painting, but later, when I saw Daniella’s stunning (hand-crocheted!) dress and veil, I decided to move Muse to the left, so that Daniella’s dress and veil could be shown in all it’s splendour. And Muse had his own spot where he didn’t have to share the spotlight 😉

Grateful for the opportunity to paint not just this moment, but also to bear witness to beautiful relationships and special bonds.

It was such a unique and beautiful experience for me to capture Kim & Jacob’s blend of traditions and love during their mixed ceremony. First they had a Christian ceremony, and then the traditional Indian ceremony. They selected the second ceremony as theme for their live painting, and with all the colour and stunning decor, it’s easy to see why. During the consultation, we decided to add in a symbol of the groom’s faith, even though the painting’s theme is the Indian ceremony. See if you can find it 🔎

The EpicARTS Spring exhibition opens next week in Newlands, Pretoria!

Official opening: 2 Sept 2023
Open free to the public 6-10 September 2023.

The exhibition will officially open on Saturday, 2 September, with live music from the singing duo .musiek. It will be an informal, picnic style family friendly event.

You will also have the opportunity to view the exhibition before it opens to the general public on Wednesday, September the 6th until Sunday, September 10th.

🎫 2 September 🎫 entrance tickets are R100 (included live music and an artsy surprise)

I met Alex & Estee last year at a black tie event, where I did a live painting of the retirement party for Alex’s dad.

I approached them to get reference photos for the live painting, but when I heard how much they adore their canine kids, I included their canine lids in the live painting as well.

And then this year I had the pleasure of doing a family portrait for them 😍 The Christmas family portrait was compiled from 4 different photos.

Fun fact:
It just so happens that the live painting (of last year) included not only the guest of honour’s colleagues and several special symbols commemorating his career, but also his family members. See if you can spot these 4 in the other painting.

Live watercolour guest portraits are a unique and creative way to capture the essence of your guests at events such as weddings, parties and corporate events.

During the event, we set up a station with all the necessary materials, and guests can have their individual portraits painted. It’s a great way to entertain guests and provide them with a special, personalized memento of your event.

“Mothers and daughters never really part, maybe in distance but never in heart”. 💕

What a lovely way to honor the mother of the bride. commissioned this custom portrait as a gift to her mom on her wedding day last year.

On the left is the bride’s sister, the bride is on the right, and their mom in the middle, each in their wedding dresses and bridal bouquets 😍

The quote at the top was added in handwritten calligraphy for an extra special touch!
