May 9th, I would be participating if Alex wasn't already signed up for the Spartan Race that day. I think this is a fabulous fundraiser!!! Get 4 to 6 people together for a team and fill out the forms to participate in this amazing fundraiser for Mary Willis! What a great way to spend the afternoon and raise money for someone who is fighting Breast Cancer!!! Go to United Women of Rockland's FB page to print out the forms and get them in ASAP...

PS... Any local businesses or vendors that would like to donate to this event please contact me or United Women of Rockland. There will be a raffle at Red Rock Cafe!!!!!

IN PINK WE TRUST is a collaboration CD Punk Sisters Productions produced with Marco Ferrier. Salon Allure wants to give back!

Are you or someone you know a breast cancer survivor, or maybe even dealing with it as we speak?

Submit a short essay and picture to tell us here at Salon Allure your story for a chance to win a "Day of Beauty" on Sunday November 3rd.

Nominate a friend, relative or yourself for a makeover. Submit a short essay and a picture about you or someone you know that has overcome the obstacles and challenges of breast cancer. We want to hear your story and why you feel you or this person should be 1 of 3 women to "GET ALLURED"!

Submissions must be made no later than October 25th, 2013 via email to [email protected]. The Salon Allure team will select the top 3 essays and notify the winners immediately.

*All other essays submitted but not chosen in the top three will receive a 20% off gift certificate for services to be honored in the month of November.

So please, join us on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 10-4 for refreshments with friends, family or even just to be a part of this special day with women who are an inspiration to all of us!

Other vendors that will be in attendance include:

*Caked Up- Custom Cakes & Cupcakes

These vendors will also donate a percentage of their sales to The Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Also a big THANK YOU to My Tutu Wonderland for sending us a donation from the sales of their Breast Cancer Tu Tu's they have sold!!!!
