🌺CommUnity🌺 is a FREE event for and by creatives and artists to come together, network, relax, and share their work. This event will be 18+.

This event was set up to challenge the barriers set up that do not allow nor help people to enter or exist within the creative industries. It is also for us to come together and share our experiences, tips, and advice and show the world the amazing things we can create.

in collaboration with .shack and .ne_ , with photography and videography by . We have come together to create an event that gives creatives a space to relax, rest, and inspire. Being from marginalized communities and being artists, we understand all too well the barriers set up for creatives to excel and share their work. We wanted to create this space for us to take up space, share knowledge, and build an environment of community over competition.

This space was created for folks that need and want a calm night out, I want folks to know there's a place for them to relax, unwind and leave with something special! My work is driven by play in the forms of ground-based acrobatics, movement and dance, contortion, and handstands.

Our venue The Old Coal Yard is Shout Up certified, with the most wonderful staff and beautiful venue!

We want everyone to have a good time, but if anything happens that makes you uncomfortable or you witness something that isn't right, please do not hesitate to tell a member of TOCY staff or me ( ). Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected]

The Midnight Commune is a space for all, and we have a zero tolerance policy to hate and discrimination. Should it be brought to our attention you will be asked to leave immediately.

We want to do our best to provide an accessible and welcoming environment but if something isn't accessible for you please let us know so we can within our means do better next time.

Accessibility comes in many ways, from race, sexuality, disability, finance and more, so please do not hesitate to let us know.

Respect and care for staff and organisers is a must, should there be an emergency or venue rule to keep everyone safe please listen to the instructions of the staff and organisers.

There will also be videography and photography, if you do not want to be photographed or recorded please wear a wristband that can be given out at the front.
