Introducing Beans On Toast 🙌
Essex born folk songwriter ‘Beans on Toast’ is an extremely unique performer. Twisting an age-old genre with a D.I.Y. approach and contemporary concerns has earned him the title of a cult figure who tells it like it is. A festival favourite (he’s played Glastonbury every year since 2005) and a prolific writer and performer. He’s written and recorded 16 albums and he’s played every bar, club, venue, pub, festival, and party you can think of.
He’s a hippy, a punk, a poet, a drunk, a die-hard romantic and an eternal optimist. Singing simple songs that tackle big issues. Political protest songs for the modern-day, honest and open Love songs. Songs that will make you laugh, but also make you think with no-holds-barred honesty and quick wit. Described by the Guardian as “Protest songs peppered with optimism”.

Katherine Priddy heads to Moseley Folk
The lovely Katherine Priddy will be with us this August 31st 🤟
Coming off the back of a sold-out UK Album tour for her critically acclaimed 'The Pendulum Swing', we're so pleased to have Katherine gracing our main stage again.
Debuting on Later with Jools Hollands just last weekend, Priddy’s haunting vocals and distinctive finger-picking guitar style have seen her sell out a headline tour and support world-class artists including The Chieftains, Loudon Wainwright III, Vashti Bunyan and Guy Garvey. Along with performances at the BBC Proms and played well-earned spots at prestigious festivals in the UK.

A Moseley Folk & Arts first, Belle & Sebastian will be joining us on Sunday, signing us off for the weekend.
Fresh from guest-starring in an episode of The Simpsons, Belle And Sebastian (Sunday) are one of the UK’s most beloved pop portraitists, with their recent LPs, A Bit of Previous (2022) and Late Developers (2023), ranking as some of their best.
Plus, a recently released tenth studio album, A Bit of Previous, their first full-length in seven years. Which can only mean we'll be lucky enough to hear new music in our magical park.

Dexy's 🤝 Birmingham.
One of the biggest pop rock bands to come out of the Birmingham music scene in the 80s, with Birmingham holding a very special place in the band's hearts, turning heads in the Northern Soul Scene.
Starting in 1978, with original members being Kevin Rowland, Kevin ‘Al’ Archer, Pete Williams, Pete Saunders, John Jay, Steve Spooner, Geoff Blythe, Jimmy Paterson and Geoff Kent, thanks to an advert put out in a local Birmingham paper. Bringing their sixties soul covers, before securing a record deal and a support slot for the Two Tone tour alongside The Specials and The Selector.
Their most recent performances in the city include the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, alongside UB40, Jorja Smith and more. Celebrating all things Birmingham, including their decade-spanning careers.
