The Arrive Alive Tour is deeply saddened by the recent NTSB report on a devastating crash in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, which claimed the lives of six high school girls. The report highlights the dangers of driving under the influence of ma*****na. We urge parents to talk to their teens about the serious risks associated with impaired driving. Let's work together to prevent such tragedies and keep our roads safe.

Thanks to the collaborative work of SRO Knudsen and the Allen Park Public Schools High School Admin, Mike Darga, Mrs. Kathy Weaver along with the SADD Chapter. Tomorrow our Seniors will be participating in the Arrive Alive Tour simulation. They will be learning about the dangers of drunk driving as well as distracted driving and the real consequences that can come along with it in a safe and controlled environment utilizing new technology. It will be out front of the Allen Park High School tomorrow between 8am and 2pm! Allen Park will be the first in the downriver area to be a part of this opportunity. Also, a huge thanks to Robert J. Roll Agency - Farm Bureau Insurance for sponsoring this event!

Getting set up for todays event 🤩 We’re so excited to have The Arrive Alive Tour here today with their impaired driving simulator!

UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour® is the nation’s number-one ranked drunk and distracted driving awareness event, as well as the first-and-only ma*****na driving simulator in the country. Arrive Alive uses a high-tech, state-of-the-art simulator that allows participants to drive while distracted, drunk, or drugged in a fully functioning vehicle without moving or being intoxicated. Participants experience real-life dangers without real-life consequences.
In 2021, traffic fatalities rose 10.9% nationwide according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The fatal crash rate for teens is three times greater than for drivers 20 and over, and driver distraction is responsible for more than 58% of teen crashes. Young drivers (ages 16-20) are 17x more likely to die in a collision when they have a BAC of .08% than when not under the influence.
The Arrive Alive team's mission is to educate drivers on the dangers and consequences of impaired and distracted driving, and to create life-long safe driving habits. UNITE's Arrive Alive Tour is proud to partner with Talbot Goes Purple to bring this potentially life- changing event to the students.

Students were able to experience dangers such as loss of motor skills, delayed reaction times, visual impairment, and distraction in the safety of a virtual reality simulator. They were also taught the importance of seat-belt use and safe driving speeds.
