Our products are now offered on North Coast Online Farmers Market! If you aren't familiar with NCOFM, you order local products online and pick-up your order in Astoria. They are a great alternative to ordering from our website since there is no shipping cost. More products will be added in the future.

We have sold our family home in Ashland, Oregon and will be relocating to another city. During this transition we have closed Creek House Chocolates. Thankfully, we are open and shipping after the devastating fires that ravaged Southern Oregon in the last few days. We are only about 2 miles away from the start of the first fire, but the fierce winds were blowing away from us. Our hearts go out to members of the community that lost homes and businesses.

A note about additional shipping fees on our chocolates:

Returning customers will see that we have added additional shipping fees for all orders. This is directly due to the unfortunate difficulties facing the United States Postal Service (USPS). We have relied on USPS for years to deliver our chocolates in 2-3 days at a very economical rate, however, during these difficult times we have been forced to change over to UPS for delivery of our products. While UPS is very reliable, the cost of shipping with them is considerably higher. Prompt delivery of our quality chocolates is of upmost importance to us so that they arrive in perfect condition to our customers.

We're big fans of Central Milling Organic Flour. Here's a link to a fabulous "Some Knead Bread" that they shared. The only "kneading" is mixing it by hand in the bowl. The flavor and lightness of the bread comes from a long fermentation at room temperature. We use a combination of their Organic Artisan Baker's Plus, Organic Fine Whole Wheat, and Organic Khorasan. We also bake it in a covered cast iron pot for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees convection, then another 20-25 minutes at 425 degrees convection without the cover. The bread is light, flavorful, and very easy to make.
