There is something amazing happening in our community! It’s the Concert for the Cure and you can be a part of this wonderful event. If you have ever wondered how you can make a difference, than please join our efforts to support Brendan Schreiber and his battle against Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Brendan’s world quickly turned upside down this March when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. But the defenseman for Clifton High didn’t let that interrupt the spring he planned on having.
The 17-year-old junior continued to play close defense for our Clifton Lacrosse team and, with the help of Brendan, the team finished its season with a 13 – 5 record. He played through the nausea and fatigue that comes with three 21-day chemotherapy sessions, maintaining the same gung-ho, positive attitude he's always had.
Clifton teammates shaved their heads in a sign of support for Brendan, and all wore purple ribbon stickers on their helmets to raise awareness for their friend's cancer. Now with your help, the team hopes to help offset the financial burden this type of illness places on a family.
On June 9th, Clifton Lacrosse is sponsoring an event to raise awareness and support for Brendan. It is a group of kids, banding together to fight back against cancer.
We are reaching out to the community who can help out by donating food, drinks, gift certificates or a monetary contribution to help make our event fun and rewarding. Any donation is appreciated.
We are a non-profit organization with proceeds from this event going to the Schreiber Family to use towards medical expenses and cancer research.
