Hey everybody! I got two things to post right quick.

First, I know we have some DJ's who are following this page. I still have all this DJ/audio equipment I need to get rid of. We have been retired from this since 2019. I have 17 years worth of collected DJ/audio equipment. I need this to go. An entire 10X6 cargo trailer filled with enough equipment to make 3 or 4 complete DJ/audio setups minus the laptops & there are no controllers.

I haven't posted in quite sometime so I figured I had better get on the stick around here.
We played a wedding reception for Miranda & Phillip at Cheniere Lake Lodge on Dec 29.
Although it rained a bit & held up the Ceremony outside, it didn't slow down the party inside. I would say that probably 3/4 of the guests stayed until the party ended & that's a bit unusual for a wedding. Although it was a small event, you would have thought there was 500 people there. It was a grand time for all.
Thanks to Miranda & Robin for staying in contact & being thorough to make sure all bases were covered & everyone on the same page. I'll take events like this all year long!

Congratulations are in order for Aaron & Kaitlin for whom wed last weekend, Oct 14, at Calvert Crossing Golf & Country Club. We at Dixieland DJ have been especially blessed this year with some of the most wonderful brides, families & friends in 2017 than ever before.
I cant describe what an honor it was to be a part of this couples wedding day. Aaron, the quiet type & Kaitlin the outgoing, hyper, full of life personality. From the first day I met Kaitlin & her mother to discuss the wedding, I knew the excitement was in the air even as early as March. I'm not sure I have seen many brides as excited about her wedding day as Kaitlin.

This was more than a wedding day with formalities.... this was a true celebration of their wedding day. Fun filled, excitement, joy..... and I go back to hyper. This is one wedding day that will stand out among the best of the best in our 15 years.

If you are missing two young dogs/puppies around Caples Rd/Jim Arrant Rd/Little Lake Rd area, contact me with a description of the dogs & I will make sure you get them back.

The dogs appeared here one morning about a week ago. We have taken care of them hoping their home was close by & they would eventually return home.
1) Apparently, they like my little dogs food well enough that they wont go back home or,
2) someone no longer wanted them & has dropped them off near here, therefore, taking up residence at my home. I can not keep these puppies.

My goal here is to help get these puppies back to their owner(s). If you have lost them, please contact me & I will see that you get them back. Otherwise, they will be put up for adoption this week.

Recently, we played a ceremony & reception for Hunter & Reagan at the Hamilton House in West Monroe. This was one of those last minute gigs that came in as urgent. We were available, and together, we made this event come together & work.
Congrats to Hunter & Reagan! Thanks to Hunters mom, Kristy, for giving us the call & working so hard to get this last minute gig put together in time for the wedding day.

Both Hunter & Reagan were so laid back, easy going & made this an awesome event to play. You could just sense they were just made for each other.
Hunters mom was a blessing to work with on such short notice. She communicated & asked for advice.

Congrats to Frank & Angelina!
We played a ceremony & reception at a golf & country club in Crossett, Arkansas this weekend. Although there was a terrible storm that knocked out the power in the area (including the venue), the couple, their friends & family made this an unforgettable wedding day. Friendly & inviting isn't enough to say about how we felt at this event. Frank a complete gentleman & clown made the event fun. Angelina was beautiful, gracious & I have seen few who seemed to be as glowing in love as she was.
Almost every wedding day has a place in our memory but, this is one that we will remember. Especially because of the humbling people that made this wedding day so special, not only for us but for each other. It was more than an honor to be a part of this couples wedding day.

The old wives tale is that its good luck if it rains on your wedding day. While I don't think there is going to be a need for this couple, if rain/storm is any indication of luck, they may want to drop by & pick up a lottery ticket.
