Things are cooking up in the armada kitchen, you can bet it’ll be tasty

We can’t believe it’s been one year since the first Armada event!

Armada began as the collaborative effort of three crews: Wierd, Paradox and Swamp who had all previously thrown multiple outdoor events. We came together to create a new unified crew within our scene, with the intention of throwing the best parties we possibly can.

To put it simply, there aren’t many things in life that make you feel the way you do when you throw a doof. Being able to bring together hundreds of people over a shared love of music, art and community while creating a weekend of unforgettable memories is truly magical. These dance floors have amazed and inspired us enough to want to create the same experience for others which we can only hope is something we pass on.

We wouldn’t be able to do this without all the people that came and we are eternally grateful to the community vibe. We would like to say a special thanks to Andrew Yewings- Shade & Build Services for his work on the shade, Connor Visumotus Interactivefor his work on the visuals, Jem & Xan for curating the Sketch Art Gallery plus all the artists who contributed to the gallery, Meta Sound for providing the rig and all the incredible volunteers and crew!

We are so excited to be back in action working on our next event, this December: Motion Machine, featuring international master Kindzadza amongst the finest selection of local Aussie talent. We can’t wait to see you all back on the dance floor.

We had a wonderful time setting up the Watsons EQ for SUTRA. And Subsonic Music event over the weekend.

Bit of a mixa of some rad older U-Helica Project Decoration pieces and some of our own, accompanied by an epic stage and some UV accents provided by the crew.

Was a pleasure to work at such a nice venue, and for some epic guys, thanks for having us 🤘🤘

Basscamp is getting closer and closer and the announcements keep on rolling out! 💪

Super happy to be working alongside the team at Yewings Shade & Build to help bring Basscamp to life this year! Yewings is a creative passion - a journey that has spanned the last 7 years, where the team have worked on numerous events along the East Coast. 🔥

Yewings specialize in stretch material structures; based around creating immersive, 3D/UV dance-floor spaces and psychedelic wonders. 🤩

Yewings will be providing us with a custom shade sail for Basscamp, helping us all stay cool in the day and helping our stage feel like an enclosed and mystical space - we can't wait to see what they create! 🙌🙏

Final music release locked and will be dropping next Monday, and oh boy, you guys are in for a treat 😉

Long overdue post for Paradox Events

Such a banger of an event, and as per usual it was a pleasure to be a part of the crew. We battled through wind rain and snow to put this U-Helica Project Decoration masterpiece up in the sky again, and what an epic installation it turned out to be.

Special Thankyou to Philipp Re U-Helica for providing such amazing decorations for the event and giving us the epic opportunity to showcase these masterpieces here in Australia.
Further more extending out a huge Thankyou to the paradox crew, everybody involved did such an amazing job. And last but certainly not least a huge Thankyou to my partner Jem, for working through every little hiccup with me and making this all a possibility, Josh Elliot for coming out and smashing out a bunch of the hard work. Could not have done it with-ought all of you.

20mx20m set for Rara Avis, the final showdown for the year in terms of event work for us due to the restrictions regarding the virus.

So stoked with our biggest canopy to date, a lot of hard work, stress, love and passion went into this one, was a real pleasure to produce.

Just returned from Triangle Festival in Victoria, our first venture interstate. Was a beautiful learning experience for us and we enjoyed It for that.

Jem standing under the gorgeous U-Helica canopy that we have had the absolute privilege to set up and create accents for.

We couldn’t have done this withought the help, inspiration and friendship we found in Phil from u-helica. So proud of where we are, huge step up and wish I could give more credit to the gorgeous lady standing in the picture because this really wouldn’t be at all possible withought her.
