It has been brought to our attention that people are parking where NO PARKING signs exist. A bi-law officer will be in the area on Thursday, July 14 and cars parked illegally will be ticketed.

Also, orange cones will be placed on Queen Street on the north edge of the park to allow drop-off and safe entry for individuals, especially those using mobility aids.

Queen Street is used for emergency vehicles and the north side of the street must be left clear.

Parking can be a problem. All metered parking in the downtown core is free after 6:00 pm. Parking is available on the south side of Queen Street only so Emergency vehicles can pass through. Please do not park where the signage says NO PARKING or you may be ticketed. I have posted a map showing municipal parking lots, which are free. Also, Morris Funeral Chapel opens its lot for concert parkers if no funeral events are happening. They put up a sign at the Queen Street entrance if parking is available that night.

You could always arrive early when parking is more available and enjoy a meal at one of the downtown restaurants. Or come to the park early and bring a picnic supper.
