The excitement will reach a feverish pitch on December 31, with the distinctive fireworks extravaganza in Downtown Dubai. While the 828 metres (2,716.5 ft) Burj Khalifa will host a stunning fireworks display – described as the ‘world’s largest fireworks,’ various venues in Downtown Dubai will also celebrate the arrival of the New Year with fireworks, together creating an unprecedented ambience. ving already elevated Dubai to the league of the world’s most preferred destinations to mark the end of the year; the New Year’s Celebrations are open for the public. They can revel in the celebrations from Burj Park, an island overlooking Burj Khalifa, set on Burj Lake. Visitors can also enjoy the celebrations from the Waterfront Promenade lining the adjacent Dubai Mall, Burj Plaza, the 3.5km Emaar Boulevard, The Pavilion in Downtown Dubai, and other areas in Downtown Dubai, in addition to a drive-in designated location in Al Meydan area.

The world will turn to the Burj Khalifa at the stroke of midnight today as the world’s tallest tower is set to illuminate in an ensemble of fireworks and musical glory as a special show will feature glitzy projections of light, fire, and water.
