☀️ Introducing JoMo ☀️

is a West Yorkshire based 📌 multi-genre DJ with a passion for collecting music rooted in Afro & Latin origins. She invites you to explore all the corners of the globe with her 🌍 blending both retro and modern sounds.

I was introduced to JoMo by a few months ago as one to watch… I dived into her mixes, and immediately wanted her to join us for a gig. She has a wicked record collection 💿 with top notch musical curation, and clearly a massive love for music, DJing & community😇

In just a few short years since starting her journey 🛣️ she has supported live acts such as , and , shared stages with , and , opened the Freetown stage at festival in 2024 ⛺️ and the Toil Trees stage at festival in 2025.

She holds a residency at Discobedience (the Trades Club) and regularly plays in highly regarded audiophile spaces such as 🔊

An advocate for increased diversity in DJing, she founded in 2024 - a community DJ programme for women & minority genders, supported by . Her aim is to build a supportive network in her locality and encourage more underrepresented folk to get behind the decks 💿 A mission we can get behind!

Rooted in London’s underground 📌 , with a Latin soul, Siânageddon weaves Afro-Latin rhythms through house, breaks, hardgroove, disco, and global bass 🌍 to create fluid, high-energy sets that make the dancefloor bounce!

Sianageddon cut her teeth playing parties all over East London’s underground warehouse scene, and her highlights now include: ⛺️ , , , , , , , !

We met Siân this year at Boomtown & Shambala! The seeds were sewn 🌱 and were so excited to finally welcome her to join us at Funky Drummer!

☀️ Announcing the very FIRST Funky Drummer, Soundsystem session! 🔊

🗓️ FRI 12th December (yes that’s in two weeks ;) 🎫 OTD. £2.00 membership online in ADVANCE- link in bio.

We absolutely love throwing massive chaotic and immersive nights. Over the last few months I’ve also developed a dying urge to throw an event in a tiny venue with a big heart💓

… As a DJ, there’s nothing much better than an intimate gig where you are basically in the crowd and you’re all fu***ng about together.

Make a mistake? Oops, Who cares! Nail a blend and really share the satisfaction in the room.

So we’re doing it 🍾 A single room in Sheffields most community oriented and inclusive DIY space- - with our friends truly delicious homemade Soundsystem 🔊 . This night is hopefully going to be the start of a slightly more simplistic branch of Funky Drummer that is focused on our usual funky tunes + a sexy soundsystem, up close and personal 😊 We will also be underselling this a lil to make sure that you have room to shake a leg 🪩

Along for the ride we’re so excited to have, from Hebden Bridge, from London + longtime resident from Manchester alongside myself 🐰

Tunes: Expect a lot of magical global music 🌍 , Afro-Latin house, broken-beat and all things soulful and warm from many moons ago to the cutting edge of current day 💥

Three weeks ago we partied hard with the family bringing along some of our FAVE Live and DJ acts to our spiritual home 🏛️ for a 12th sold-out session

HUGE thank you to every single artist for firing all three dancefloors in style ☀️ and our incredible production/ venue crews for bringing the vision to life once again 🔊

blew the roof off 💥 The band are truly inspirational and it was a dream come true 💭 to host their magical energy. Forever in awe...

& had everyone dancing on stage premiering tunes that had been finished in the car on the way to Sheffield! Moments like this are what it’s all about 💃

And to the dancing crew, we love you💗 A club night would be nothing without community, and in Sheffield 📌 , we’re pretty good at that. I believe the scene is thriving at the moment and we are so excited to be a part of it!

Announcing our local support lineup for Ruby Savage in Yellow Arch’s Warehouse! 🪩

Opening up the evening we have one half of the power DJ duo and couple, Wow & Flutter (who are residents for huge local parties Apricot Ballroom and Control., as well as Grub Records which they set up with friends last summer), this Saturday Lily will be flying solo to get things moving in the white room, bringing some chilled, chuggy, and groovy house and disco selections.

Closing out the warehouse we have La Rumba regular, MYNA, who specialises in showcasing the best the African diaspora has to offer. From house and techno to Gqom, baile funk, and percussion-heavy grooves, her multi-genre mixes are infused with energy, rhythm, and nuance.

Announcing our Sheffield crew playing in the Café to complete our lineup this Saturday at Yellow Arch Studios! ☕️

DJ Patrick brings his eclectic taste and experience to Funky Drummer with an afro-fusion set to open up the night in the cafe bar. Come down early and warm up with some jazz/soul/hip-hop/electronica - afro-grooves all round, of course including some of Sheffield’s finest!

LooCee’s DJ journey kicked off with a late-night dare at Glastonbury 2022. Fast-forward a year and she was behind the decks at Glastonbury 2023, smashing two sets and chatting twice with BBC6 Music’s Lauren Laverne about the challenge that started it all. Now a regular on the scene, LooCee holds a Sisters of Sound residency and plays for Art of House as well as Rehab and Funk My Disco. She usually drops funky jackin’ house and tech house sets, but for Funky Drummer it’s all about the electro — pure good vibes only.

Back again for Funky Drummer, MELK is a familiar face on the Sheffield scene, known for bringing . Expect a high-octane blend of deep house and certi bangers

Yanik brings a feel-good blend of house and world disco gems, moving dance floors through soulful grooves, balancing nostalgia and discovery. Having supported artists like Folamour and played across events including Groundwork, his sets create a familiar warmth and an approachable energy that grows deeper and more connected into the night.

Announcing our local support lineup for K.O.G, Bryte + Burland! 🥁

First up we have one of our regular guests and Sheffield stalwart, Chris Welch from Phonetics, AKA serving up a lovely range of latin, disco and Jazz to open up our evening.

Kom Kom will be bringing her high-energy international sounds known for bridging deep connections between migration, identity, playing regularly as part of Sheffield’s DiaspoRIDDIM and as resident DJ for Rebel Soul at Shambala Festival, right before K.O.G and Bryte + Burland.

To close out the Main Hall we have our Funky Drummer Collective playing live through until the end following Bryte + Burland’s set. You know the score what to expect 😉

In the Main Hall following K.O.G, we are incredibly excited to present a flaming hot out-of-festival debut…⚡️

Born and raised in Ghana, K.O.G’s fellow countryman 🇬🇭 ‘s sound is a distinctive fusion of afro-electronic, experimental club music, and rap 🎤 characterized by its high energy and club-ready beats. He takes influences from Afrobeats & UK funky and his live performances are always delivered with infectious energy and flair.

Through working with Ghanaian artists, Bristol based music-producer, fuses the rhythms and sounds of Afrobeat, Highlife and traditional Ghanaian percussion with 140, Techno, UK Garage & Bass music 🌴 💿 . His music has received support on & from the likes of , and 📻

At 2025 ⛺️ Burland & Bryte stunned crowds with their debut as a duo. We are gassed to present their first out of festival show, and believe me you’re in for a TREAT!

☀️ Introducing Ruby Savage ☀️

One of the exciting tastemakers around, headlines our Warehouse on the mighty 🔊 , with a crate full of soul, rhythm & energy!

Since relocating from her hometown Amsterdam to London in 2007 📌 Ruby Savage spent the next 15 years working in music. Starting at , she deepened her musical knowledge and record collection with an extended love for soul, jazz, disco, dub and dance music.

From there she went on to manage ‘s recordings 💿

Both serving as a stepping stone into DJing. She joined .fm early roster of radio hosts 📻 followed by a monthly residency on London’s

🎧 As a DJ she’s performed at London’s most well respected clubs & on club and festival tours around the world, making frequent returns to Brazil, Oceania and across Europe 🌎

We are soooo excited to host her at x for the first time, this Saturday 💓

☀️ Introducing the mighty KOG ☀️

Next Saturday we are hosting one of our all time favourite live acts with his 9 piece band, in the middle of our club night… Excited is an understatement😇

A pioneer of Afro-fusion and charismatic frontman of K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade and Onipa, Kweku of Ghana is internationally recognised as an enigma, having performed in over 15 countries and winning the Young Commonwealth Performer award in 2018 🥇

Expect a fusion of influences, merging traditional Ghanaian sounds 🇬🇭 with contemporary afrobeat, hip-hop and jungle styles through an electrifying live performance of vocals 🎤 percussion and dance.
