Weekend at Burnsy's is a free* bi-yearly music festival, held about 2 hours out of Melbourne, by a group of dudes who have only one goal: to throw the best fu***ng party of the year, twice a year. The party has had a bunch of sweet rock/folk/electro/metal bands in the past, including (but not limited to) BOUND SOUTH, HAVE/HOLD, SHERIFF, HUNTER, DAN AND DAN, LAZERFACE, HUMANS, and a whole swag of
DJ's, solo acoustic acts, rock bands, and comedians. This year in April, over that really awesome long weekend that's coming up, we're throwing a totally fu***ng bitchin' party, extended over three nights instead of the previous two, and is featuring 20+ acts from Victoria and interstate. Keep your eyes peeled for announcements of this April's line up. Just be warned though: it's gonna blow your fu***ng head off**. Also, if you play in a band/sing/DJ/are a comedian/whatever/etc. and you think you're half decent at what you do, or are looking for a sweet break into the scene, it'd be well worth your while to send an email to angus_enjoys_rice[at]hotmail[dot]com and show him your band's Facebook and Myspace page.
