Yesterday I was invited to photograph a brunch party and take some photos of some of the ladies that wanted individual shots taken. We had a blast and ate some great Venezuelan food, arepas! Can't wait for the next time!

Welcome to my new photography page! Last weekend I had an amazing senior portrait shoot that inspired me to put more focus on photography.

I had been hiking several times in Wild Basin at Rocky Mountain National Park. I knew it would be the perfect location to do this photo session. I knew I’d be doing Lexie’s senior photos for a long time and had put a lot of thought in to how to make it a great experience for her and her mom. Every time I hiked this trail I had ideas coming to my mind.

The first idea was what I called the dark alley. I wanted to try some different shots in this section that had a deep forest look. When we took these photos it came out even better than I had imagined!

The next idea was doing a portrait in front of a waterfall with the dreamy waterfall look. This had its challenges and we had so much fun in the water that these shots became one of the best experiences I have had as a photographer! I feel like we came away with some gems and driving home after the shoot we laughed and had a blast imagining what the pictures would turn out to be!

For me photography is more than just a camera and gear. It’s about the experience, the connection with naturey clients, and how you feel about yourself when you’re done!
