You know it has been a busy summer if you live on a lake and didn't even get the boat in the water for the 2024 season!

I've been pretty quiet on the sm front, but that doesn't mean we've been mia in life! Wedding work, the huge house remodel & family time has kept us hopping. Floral orders are submitted for the next 4 September weddings and I'm looking forward to each of them. They are all so different and fun.

This fun arbor display was for Lindsay and Brandon's wedding at Something Blue Berry Wedding Barn . Looking forward to seeing the professional photos 📸!

Sunset colors dream come true!

Being a part of Sammie and Daniel's wedding was an absolute joy. Sam has the sweetest heart and it was so much fun getting to know her a little better thru our floral process. Both families gained an amazing family member this past weekend. Congratulations!

Back to flowers, the dahlias from Hudsonville Dahlia Farm were perfect and blooms from Angie at Kennicott Grand Rapids are always top notch and stunning. I couldn't do what I do without her!~ My only regret on this one was not taking more behind the scenes photos before delivering. Can't wait to see the pro photos start rolling in!~

Received this photo and the sweetest note from one of our 2023 brides, Alexa....

"I had to show you that I took your advice to save the seeds from my flower bouquet and now I get to enjoy my bouquet again Thank you."

How cool is that? When I noticed that the stunning celosia was sharing seeds, I had to share the seed saving tip. Love that Alexa actually did it and shared the results with me!~

Same bouquet, 3 different locations in our "we had the guts to take on a fixer upper farmhouse". Any guesses as to which photo took place in the "we are getting closer to final finishes" space? (at least in that part of the house 🙃).

The bridal wreath spirea blooming at the church studio is absolutely amazing right now. I couldn't resist getting some pics incorporating some favorite props... ironstone pitchers and chippy white stands 😉. These beauties will be getting a hard pruning after the blooms fade this year. Trust me, they thrive every time and it will be great to see our vintage brick pavers and landscape edges once again. 😊

Our wedding season is kicking off sweetly. It is such an honor to be a part of so many special days for our clients. I can hardly believe that Forrester Farm is in year 24 and it is all because of the best clients who trust us with their most important events. Thankful for each and every one!~ ☺

No green beer for our Irish blood on this Saint Patrick's Day. We have been plugging away at our 1860 home restoration built by Irish immigrants though and feel pretty lucky to be able to do it ☘️ 🍀 😉.

I've also been listing some fun finds, things from this old house & items I've had for forever on etsy and marketplace (more local). One lady I met had just painted a bold color wall in her new home and the Tiffany chandelier we were selling was an absolute perfect addition. Things are just things. Moving them onto others who can enjoy them.... priceless!

Signs of spring abound! These hellebores were bought from Trader Joe's in 2022. Love that they have taken off in our soil and are making a spring show for the 3rd year in a row!

I can't ever recall having our crocuses bloom in February! Nor glorious temps in the 70s like yesterday. Today's temp + snow flurries seems more on track for the end of February in Michigan 😉😊

We had such an incredible experience working with Ann and Forrester Farm - I wish every vendor was like this!

Our wedding was in February, which impacted the availability of some flowers, but Ann didn’t let that stop us from achieving exactly what I wanted! Truthfully, I didn’t have much knowledge of wedding florals before planning my own wedding. Ann was extremely honest, knowledgeable, and imaginative! I provided several inspiration photos - and what she created was even better than I could have imagined. She worked within my budget to sub some flowers for others from my inspiration - still giving me exactly, and even better, than what I was hoping for!

On our wedding day, the flowers ended up exactly where they were supposed to and all in the right hands. She’s like a flower fairy godmother! I can’t thank Ann and her helpers enough for all the kindness, attention to detail, and truly quality work. I’d be honored to work with her again.

While we have had sooo much snow in Michigan my mind has been on flowers and upcoming events. Anemones always grab my attention and steal the show when we include them in designs. We love when they are in season. What is one of your favorite flowers?

Just a week ago today, we were canoeing and then winter arrived in a flurry in our part of Michigan. Whether from paddling or shoveling, my arms got a great workout this week 😉.

After kicking off the new year with several bridal meetings, I don't mind this cozy quote generating time. Dreaming of flowers is my favorite!

In my mind, "the holiday season" encompasses Thanksgiving to New Years Day. There is so much to celebrate and be thankful for at this time of the year and I hope that your holiday season has been filled with the most important "things"... faith, family & friends.

A huge thank you to all who came to the barn sale this past Thursday thru Saturday! It was so much fun visiting with all who came and seeing great holiday and home decor items go to wonderful new homes.

I was sorry to miss the Saturday peeps as I was working at home that day. The best part of working with this creative barn sale team is that it is such a group effort. Everyone contributes to make it a great experience for all.
