I recently watched a movie that was so good, I had to update my list of favorites from 2024. Hint: it's #10:

A good (not great) year for movies still gave us plenty of memorable pictures, including multiple horror and coming-of-age stories.

Geno DeMarco is one of, if not *the* longest-tenured college football coach across any division. He's been the head coach of the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes since 1993. I caught up with the veteran coach about his impact on the small community of Beaver Falls, PA, his coaching philosophy, and more. Take a listen!

Steve Pulaski of Y105 chats with Geno DeMarco, head coach of the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes football team, who play in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Coach...

is so good, it made me modify my list of favorite movies of 2024. A tour-de-force and deeply personal turn for Pamela Anderson, this movie languidly looks at the life of a showgirl nearing 60 whose show is about to drop the curtain for the final time. Coming soon to streaming. My review:

Pamela Anderson gives a tour-de-force performance in Gia Coppola's languid, authentic exploration of someone stuck in the mindset of their peak.

While the best movies of 2024 didn't feel as strong as in past years, the worst movies of the year were as putrid as they come. It was a dreadful year for biopics and kids movies in particular. Here are the 10 worst movies I saw in 2024:

The worst of 2024 included some terribly misguided kids movies, and two of the worst biopics in recent memory.

The new Jerry Springer documentary is a little airy (and weirdly split into two parts despite being less than 100 minutes total), but it's worth a watch to hear the producers of the controversial program recount their experiences booking/managing guests and upping the ante every single week. My review of , now on Netflix:

An in-depth look into "The Jerry Springer Show" is long overdue, but "Fights, Camera, Action" only gets some of the job done.

It was a good (not great) year for movies. I only gave one "four stars." That said, it was a tremendous year for horror and an all-around great year for coming-of-age stories. Here are my favorite films of 2024:

A good (not great) year for movies still gave us plenty of memorable stories, including multiple horror and coming-of-age stories.

While not as loathsome as I initially feared, is cheap-looking and lousy, falling greatly short of its own standard set by its predecessors. My review:

"The Santa Clause 3" has the appearance and feel of a TV movie with cheap-looking sets and lousy special effects.

Absolutely horrible to hear that filmmaker Jeff Baena, also the husband of Aubrey Plaza, has died from su***de at 47-years-old. Baena's low-key movies will live on, including , which explores how millennials uniquely grapple with calamity and tragedy in their lives. It takes on new poignancy now:

Jeff Baena's "Joshy," among many things, explores how millennials uniquely deal with calamity and tragedy.

Halina Reijn’s is (Oscar Version). A safe, sanitized display of sexual fantasies that seldom comes close to being erotic. Ludicrous on so many fronts. My review:

Halina Reijn's "Babygirl" is "Fifty Shades of Grey (Oscar Version)."

is a new horror-comedy clearly inspired by the likes of and , but forgets it was the characters more than the kills that made those movies as memorable as they were entertaining. My review:

The kind of surface-level horror that succeeds until it ultimately dawns on you just how unmemorable it all is.

is a busy sequel, brimful of plot, Merry mischief, and Christmas chaos. That's part of its charm, as this against-the-odds franchise continues to win me over. My review:

The Santa Clause 2 (2002) review Dir. Michael Lembeck By: Steve Pulaski Rating: ★★★ The Santa Clause 2, by its very title, suggests there was another clause that Tim Allen's Scott Calvin and his seemingly endless party of elves ignored in the first film. That would be the clause stating that C...

Joe Berlinger is responsible for the trilogy of documentaries, which helped free the West Memphis Three. Now, he's pivoted to covering the complicated JonBenét Ramsey murder in a new Netflix series coming next week. We chatted about that, his late collaborative partner Bruce Sinofsky, and how he views his sequel over 20 years later. Take a listen!

Everybody remembers (and probably knows most of the words) to Young MC's late-80s hit "Bust a Move." The talented rapper is back on the charts after 22 years with his new single "Fun Part," and it's a bop and then some. I got to chat with the rapper about his new single's success, his first record deal, his hip-hop influences, and more!
