There’s something about this time, this era, isn’t there? The feeling you get when you see the glamour, the mystery. Makes you want to go back in time and feel it.

The Bond, Saturday, October 26. Hold the date for the next and best Hauntings at the Bond. Right in time for Halloween. More info to come, but all you really need to know (for now) is come wearing your best 50’s/60’s Mobster attire and we’re going to try to get some information from ‘Anthony’ from the other side.

SAVI has been working behind the scenes to bring our next wave of events this spring. Our next paranormal investigation with Eastern Connecticut Paranormal Society is this Saturday, March 8. Last time we learned more about our heroine Etta Mae. She confirmed that she locks brides in and out of the bridal suite before and during their wedding celebrations to get them to think twice about what they’re doing. Julia, the founder of SAVI, has personally witnessed this occurrence during a wedding.

This weekend we’re hoping to find out more about the spirit of Anthony, who came to us last investigation. We believe that there has been mob activity at the Bond and we’re hoping maybe Anthony can lead us to new information about what might have occurred. Stay tuned this Saturday for a live video of us at the Bond and then for coming events this spring into summer. It’s going to be SO exciting and we can’t wait to share more. We had our second event and it was so much fun. We love the enthusiasm about the Bond and those who lost their lives there in the past. We’re planning our next, but tell us, do you want one Christmas themed? Valentine’s Day themed, or something else?

It was such a good time last event with Bond Ballroom that we’re doing it again this coming Saturday, November 18 at 7:00 pm.

This one will be a little different; smaller crowd, closer encounters with the spaces, sit down dinner with wine service. Come and see what the hype is all about. You know you want to.

Attire: cocktail, can dress in eras gone by and fit right in.

We’re so sorry if you missed us! Wow, it was a great one. The feedback was largely, please bring more of these! We need more of this! This event had a little of everything and the element of surprise was pervasive. We heard that people want a Christmastime celebration and maybe a Valentine’s Day. We’ve consolidated our tour nights into one, Saturday, October 28. We think the spirit of Etta Mae wanted peace on the anniversary of her death, but we still celebrate her on the 28th. As we dig into the life of Etta Mae and what she did before her death, and what came after, we find inconsistencies. We find incorrect grave markings, dates, and several empty plots of land where once were the homes of Etta Mae and her family members. A call was placed by a man into Hartford PD to report the death of Etta Mae from a New Haven number. The article from the Hartford Courant reports that Etta Mae was going through a divorce which is why she decided to end her life, but what else was going on with this woman? Why a call from a man in New Haven? Why all the inconsistencies? We’re diving in and can’t wait to give you all the details at the event on October 28.

In 1916, Etta Mae Downing checked into the Bond Hotel as Beth E. Dayger of Rock Haven, NJ. She was from Lynn, MA. She purchased herself a box of chocolates and ate part of the top layer. She wrote a letter to the hotel asking pardon for the use of her room as a "death chamber". Come find out more about this fascinating woman on October 21, which is, coincidentally, the anniversary of her su***de.
