Feisty Flavors Catering Specializing in...but never limited to...Caribbean Cuisine Chef Cindy is from Brooklyn, by way of Trinidad and Tobago.

Her Mom gave her a cookbook at the age of 9 to keep her out of trouble…and the rest, as they say is history. Self-taught, she has been a Chef and Caterer for almost 15 years. She started Feisty Flavors Catering in 2011, after losing her job. She describes her cuisine as Carib-Fusion, which is a funky combination of her Caribbean heritage and her experience with other cultures. She stays loyal to t

he colorful flavors of her West Indian background, while marrying them with anything from Italian to Asian. She had even found her way onto Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen, and was featured in the NY Daily News and other publications. Chef Cindy is very passionate about showing that simple food can be elegant…and believes that the traditional Caribbean fare can absolutely still be enjoyed, even with a few healthy tweaks. She has a knack for making something out of nothing, turning Entrees in Appetizers, and giving her audience the unexpected!

10 years ago today… walked into my room and said “Sisterrrr…you’re in the paperrrr” in a sing-songy voice. I said “what?” Completely forgot about the phone interview that lined up for me! 🤦🏾‍♀️The interview was all of maybe 5 minutes. I thought that I’d get a paragraph in the Saturday paper that nobody reads 🤷🏾‍♀️ That’s not what happened. I got almost a full page in the Sunday paper. 😳What made me lose it though…was the amount of notifications from you guys posting it😩 The thug shed a couple tears NGL😂 This is one of the highlights of my career. Never in a million years did I think this was possible for me🥹-Happy Saturday!
