Hey everyone! Let's meet Brittni and John who are getting married in November. I loved getting to know Brittni as we sat and enjoyed coffee and good conversation. I can't wait to see this beautiful bride walk down the aisle! Here is her story:

"In 2015, my best friend convinced me to play in a Friday night softball league where I would learn that John would also be there. Not that it would have mattered because we had hardly any interaction when we had originally met in 2013 while playing on the same charity tournament team. He was very shy and I intimidated him (as he says). I remember thinking how good looking, athletic and manly he was, but refused to make the first move. It wasn't until our last game of the season where he finally initiated conversation, and then later on asking if I wanted to hang out, and that was it! On December 7, 2017, he asked and I said yest to us spending forever together!!"

Cory and Kelsey are so cute together! Kelsey’s eyes light up when she speaks about him and their wedding. I cannot wait to see the look in his eyes when he sees her coming down the aisle! Their wedding will be beautiful!

“Cory and I met in 2009 when working together at Baptist East Hospital in the operating room. We hit it off almost immediately after meeting each other😊 Shortly after, we began spending more time with each other and hanging out more often! Before you know it, we were officially a couple❤️Fast forward a couple of years, we had our son in November of 2014 and bought our first house together in 2016. On June 5th, 2017 Cory asked me to be his wife on the beach in Daytona Beach, FL! It was perfect and our family surrounded us😊”

So, you’ve recently had the most memorable moment of your life, and asked by the person that you just adore, “Will you be my wife?” 💍 You want to enjoy this moment, as it is a moment that you’ve dreamed of for quite some time! Your feeling of shock and awe will remain until you start sharing your big news.

You pick up the phone and start calling your family to tell them about your exciting day! On the other end of the phone, you hear, “Omg, congratulations!” Followed by:

“When’s the big day!?”
“Have you thought about colors?”
“Which venue are you going to pick?”
“Are you going to get married in a church? You know it will crush your grandmothers soul if you don’t get married in a church.”
“You HAVE to use carnations in your flower arrangements. It’s family tradition.”
“At MY wedding we did such and such...”
“So and so did this for their wedding, YOU should do that.”

You’ve now been engaged for one hour and have stress that has gone from 0-10 in 3 minutes.

This is your wedding. Be sure to be in control of your wedding. Women don’t just wake up in the morning and decide to be “bridezilla”. They get so overwhelmed with stress, trying to make sure everything is perfect, that one wrong look will send them to their breaking point.

Consider getting a wedding planner for your sanity.

-Planners will do your full wedding planning, where you just show up and walk down the aisle.

-Planners will do partial planning, where you are in control of your design and vision, but don’t really want to deal with any vendors or quotes. Or maybe you need input on best layout options!

-Planners will also do JUST the day of your wedding. Maybe you love planning your own wedding, and you need someone to set everything up and direct traffic on your big day!

Talk about a cute story! Ashlyn and Matthew are picture perfect!

Ashlyn says:
“So, our stroy is quite a funny one!! summer 2015 the first time I met matthew, he ignored me completely and couldnt even muster up a " Hello, how are you". We were both in different places in our lives. Fast forward about a year, I became really close with his mom and two sisters due to me and his mom becoming close at our work! later we ended up taking a trip to Indianapolis, IN for a Kenny Chesney Concert including me, matthew, his mom, and his younger sister. Well during this time Matthew barely spoke a word to me, but I was seeing something else....a future companion LOL.

January 2016 me, his mother, and two sisters took a long weekend trip to Nashville,TN. During this time apparently I couldnt shut up about Matthew, how cute he was, how down to earth he was, and how his southern charm was the cherry on top!
Came home from Nashvile, and his sisters went right to work on getting us to go on a date together! About two weeks later, we all went out for drinks, Matthew acutally spoke to me! and we clicked instantly! From that moment on, we had spent every waking moment talking with each other, and every weekend going on fun and new adventures together!

6 months later, my birthday rolls around. It's a tradition for me and my father to go to the state fair for my birthday and eat all the sinful things that all calories wound amount to in a months time LOL. Matthew came this year, with my dad present. It was such a beautiful day, we sat outside for some lunch and of course they stuck me inbetween the two of them. As i had my mouth full of over 1,200 calories, matthew pops out a box and sits it on the table in front of me with the biggest smile on his face, and my dads eyes already filling with tears. I immediately start tearing up! He not only asked me to be his wife, but to be his lifelong best friend in this crazy journey called life.

From that moment on, we were inseperable, and of course it became a family affair once his sisters and mother got the phone call that i had said yes! I always joke with Matthew that his family loved me first, and it just took him longer to catch on to the love. Now we are planning one of the biggest moments in our lives, and I couldnt be happier that he is giving me such an amazing BIG family to love and cherish for years to come.”

Planning someone else’s wedding is very different than planning your own, mostly because people have such different tastes.

Would you look at this couple 😍!

Brittany and Matthew have been friends since they were in kindergarten. They grew closer to eachother once they graduated high school and entered their 20’s, and eventually started dating (for the first time)! They lived 8 hours apart at the time and life ended taking them in different directions. They met back up down the road once they had time to establish themselves, and rekindled their relationship. Brittany moved from Missouri to Kentucky to be with Matthew. It didn’t take Matthew long to decide that this time, he wanted to keep her in his life for the long haul. He plotted with his mother and Brittany’s sister, and secretly gained possession of her Grandmother’s ring, who was a very important person in Brittany’s life. He proposed on their property while they were doing some renovating together, and of course, she said YES 💍. And now, with her grandmother’s ring, Brittany will get to walk down the aisle and say “I Do”, to her best friend, who she’s known for almost 30 years! How cool! We’re so excited to be able to help with their big day!

Were you thinking about having a Coordinator for the day of your wedding, but are deciding to go with a family member because you don’t think it would be worth it?

DON’T!

I did that too! I chose a close friend to coordinate the day of my wedding. And she did an amazing job! BUT-while my friend, (who means so much to me that I would even consider asking her to take on such a huge responsibility) was setting up and helping organize everything...she missed my entire wedding. She missed the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception. She did not get to enjoy my wedding as a guest and actually dance and celebrate with us because she was SO busy making sure everything was perfect. I am so grateful for her help, but regret not just hiring someone to take care of everything so the people we cared about could celebrate with us!

Here are just SOME of the tasks that a day of Coordinator takes on, to alleviate the stress from you and your guests! Take a look and think about it!

​-Checking in all vendors
-Coordinating all set up and design
-Running last minute errands
-Coordinating all break down/clean up
-Insuring DJ has song list and wedding party list
-Making sure bride and groom have what they need
-Coordinating ceremony line
-Confirming florist has delivered all arrangements
-Ensure that flower girls and ring bearer have baskets/pillow
-Set up guest book and gift table
-Confirm all lighting is correct (up lighting colors, lighted curtains...)
-Cue the DJ or musicians when the ceremony will begin
-Thorough walk through to review final set up prior to guess arrival
-Handle any emergencies that might arise
-Cue DJ for the bridal party introduction into the reception
-Cue for first dance for the Bride and Groom, Father Daughter dance, Mother Son dance
- Cue toasts and cutting of the cake
-Cue bouquet toss and garter toss
-Coordinate formal send off, if you choose to have one
-Help collect gift items and get them to the appropriate vehicle for send off
