"Infertility is a road traveled by some of the strongest and bravest people I know. You wear your hopes and dreams of meeting the most precious gift someday on your sleeve. You hope against all odds, rise to the physical challenges and weather the emotional storms to bring life into the world. You question why it happened to you as you watch the world around you have their own precious babies. You cry and then remind yourself that you CAN do this.
Our dreams of becoming parents existed from the time we met. After years of longing and hearts that ached to hold our little one, we began IVF treatments. Three years later, after multiple trips back to the United States, over 400 injections, experiencing heartbreak from failure, losing our potential son and daughter, we held our breath that ‘this would be the time’. On July 10th, 2023, we received the call that we had dreamed of when the doctor uttered the words ‘You’re pregnant!’. Through the ups and downs of pregnancy, one thing remained constant, the hope and dream of meeting our little one. That day came on February 23rd when our miracle baby was born. We still can’t believe it’s real. He’s here, he’s ours, and he’s perfect."

Rise and shine 🌞
There is great reward waiting for those willing to brave the cold winter mornings, and that is the most beautiful sunrise skies!
Although this season can be tough for families with little ones, I would never say no to those who would like to encapsulate a memory in the form of a portrait and can't wait for a different season. After all, the only regret you could have is not having (photographic) memory of a special moment in your life ♥️
With that being said, spring will be approaching soon. Don't wait until the last minute to book your session. The best (mild and decent sunrise and sunset hours) are yet to come :)

I love how we live in an Island that wakes up with winter weather 🥶 but midday goes on full Spring mode 🌞 by now, I hope that if you are in you know better and that you are dressing in layers and remembering to put on sunscreen no matter what 😀
Since I have been getting messages in the last few days about my availability in the next few months, I thought that I would just share it publicly so everyone can see and snag whatever dates are convenient for their families:
FEBRUARY: 9th, 10th, 13th, 25th and 28th.
MARCH: 2nd, 9th, 20th and the 21st.
I am also booking into May. Please don't wait until last minute to book your session as I work around my family schedule.

It has been quiet in here, I know. I am not sure if I should blame it on the horrible stomach bug we got since before Christmas (and that we had again after New years) or if I should blame it on the weather.
Anyway, this is the official "real life" update:
During the last few weeks, I have been working on personal projects that are taking me to push my comfort levels in so many ways. One of them, is that I am currently taking all the steps to become a zumba instructor...like what? Who would have thought that I would ever actually pursue something that was never on my radar, yet it makes my heart so happy 😊
So are you changing careers now Nathalia? Absolutely not. Photography has been and will always be my number one career. Dancing is sort of an estension of my never ending pursue of creative expression!
One thing is for sure: lots of people are reaching out about spring and early summer sessions. Even though we are a few months away, I always tell everyone not to wait until the last minute, especially if you need to secure a day during the weekend. But also, so you have plenty of time to put together the outfits for the entire family AND leave room (time wise) for rescheduling in case of poor weather.
If you are thinking about updating your family portraits this year, let'chat and secure a date now. The warm sun should arrive (hopefully) soon 😀

I know we have been baking and singing Christmas songs none stop in our home.
Ahh, there is something so unmatchable about the warm spices invading the rooms and the Christmas lights shining in the background of all the corners in a house.
This is for sure, and by far, my most favorite month of the year 🎅 🧑🎄
