For us, executing an event is more than simply taking care of the who, what, where and when. We also care about the how and why – the why makes us understand our client’s motivation for wanting to put such an event together and the how tells us how our client would like guests/attendees to walkaway feeling at the end of it all. With all of this in mind, our goal is to partner with you to bring you

r vision to life from concept through to ex*****on. Our passion for event planning and coordinating was birthed out of experience managing publicity for multiple clients across different industries, while also planning and coordinating special events to support these clients and their projects. To this end we launched Events by Mayven to cater specifically to event planning, and coordinating needs. When you think 'Brooklyn Vibes' you think of unique, cool, non-traditional and that's exactly what Lily & Andy wanted to celebrate their love story. The couple initially planned on having an small limited invite wedding ceremony in a local Brooklyn park in their neighborhood, and then having a more open-invite celebratory reception afterwards. However, after much thought, they opted to keep it simple, by heading to the Brooklyn courthouse for their nuptials with just immediate family, and a handful of their closest friends....

As your wedding planner or coordinator we’re in your corner! My job is not only to make your day go seamlessly, but help you figure out how to incorporate the big and little details that make the day uniquely yours.

Yukiha & Philip had a friend officiate, and her brother was the DJ/MC. My job? Lead the rehearsal to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly, and create a timeline and partner with the DJ/MC to cue formalities on schedule.

If they’re calm, and aren’t phased by large crowds they can be part of the ceremony. Or simply have them be a part of first-look, and bridal portraits.

Most importantly, ensure to have someone assigned to cater to them for the day. It can’t be Mom and Dad, as you’ll both be busy getting married and enjoying the party! 🐾🦴💛

As your planner, we’re most times the vendor you spend the most time with. Working together for months (some times up to a year or more), and usually with you on wedding day from bridal prep till last song when we get you into the exit car.

It’s important that you like your planner and vendors in general. When you reach out to inquire, don’t just ask for availability and price. Get on a call and make sure the vibe is right, before checking if the price is right!
