THE BAR AND THE BREAKFAST
The Berwickshire Hunt Ball on Saturday 2nd March 2019 not only includes music from the infamous Grouse Band, a disco by DJ Trendy Wendy and an opportunity to win some fabulous prizes in the Grand Raffle it also includes a champagne reception, a full bar and once you’ve danced the night away you’ve earned the right to sit down for the extensive gourmet breakfast served by Rosie's Catering between 1.30am and 4.00am.

The warm up and dance card for the Berwickshire Hunt Ball on Saturday 2nd March 2019 at 10.30pm.
Traditionally hunt ball guests would congregate at a friendly hosts house for a formal dinner party prior to the start of the ball. This tradition still continues to this day, although some chose to meet in less formal settings beforehand such as local public houses or restaurants. This tradition of socialising prior to the ball encourages people, particularly those who are keen on reeling, to fill their dance cards and sets the scene for the great social night ahead. Larger pre-ball parties are allocated tables at the venue however there are shared tables for people who attend as smaller parties or individuals.

THE BAND AND DISCO
Entertainment at the 2019 Berwickshire Hunt Ball which will be held on Saturday 2 March 2019 will be provided by the Infamous Grouse Band and DJ Trendy Wendy. The Infamous Grouse Band will keep the dance floor filled as they play their enthusiastic way through the best Scottish reels interspersed with popular music. In the bespoke nightclub room DJ Trendy Wendy will keep guests entertained long into the night with her unique soundtrack of 21st century disco. She has a talent for reading the crowd to create a party vibe and rocking even the most difficult dance floors. She plays a masterful blend of disco, soul, funk, hip hop, house and even kitsch cheesy classics which all come together to create a jumping atmosphere and make you put your hands in the air!

The Berwickshire hounds, are the oldest pack in Scotland still performing legal pest control activities in the Scottish Borders.
As the season draws to close, the hounds will be meeting on the morning of the hunt ball, on Saturday 2 March 2019 at 10.45am.

THE PRESTIGE

The prestigious Berwickshire Hunt Ball which in the past has attracted guests such as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and Dame Shirley Bassey, is frequently covered in Tatler and The Scottish Field.
The dress code of long dresses and white or black tie gives this evening a special feel and contribute to it being considered Scotlands leading Hunt Ball.

Things are shaping up for this years Berwickshire Hunt Ball. Slightly later in the year than normal however we hope to put on a cracking night as per usual.

The Berwickshire Hunt Ball will be held at Duns Castle on Saturday 2nd March 2019 by kind permission of the Hay family.

We will be holding the GRAND RAFFLE again this year which will be drawn on the night of the ball.

The GRAND RAFFLE prizes will be announced in the next few weeks and tickets will go on sale at the Open Meet on Saturday the 3rd of November. Tickets are on sale from committee members and you don’t have to be going to the ball to purchase a ticket. We will keep things updated on here.
