On behalf of everyone involved at COTTFEST we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who made the weekend such a special experience!!
The amount of work that’s been put into making an idea a reality is incredible and we couldn’t have done it without the artists, the sponsors, and every single person that came along and supported it!
It’s been a steep learning curve but we’ve loved every single minute..........

We’ve had to overcome so many hurdles but what an experience it’s been with the best yet to come
As a team we took a punt on being able to pull off a festival and it’s been a real learning curve but we’ve loved every minute

After recent newspaper headlines which implied that COTTFEST was in doubt due to issues around noise and safety
At the time we declined to comment as all through the process of setting up our event we have worked with the local authorities and cumbria constabulary to ensure that everything is fully compliant to create a festival and environment that is suitable for all
We set up the event to give something back to the area and give talented young artists a platform to show case there skills and we couldn’t have got this off the ground without the assistance of the relevant authorities our amazing sponsors and a lot of dedicated volunteers working hard
We look forward to the local papers giving the artists performing the coverage they deserve 👌🏻

In the lead up to COTTFEST we thought that we would give you ten reasons to come along and make the most of a glorious bank holiday weekend............

Johnny Donat on the Thank The Universe stage
Jonny Donat is a DJ / Producer hailing from Cumbria. He started this game early and made his club debut at 13, he is more geared towards playing techno, varieties house from the creation of the genre and disco with a modern spin on things. Heavily influenced by the music his Dad, A DJ himself in the 80’s and 90’s, would play him as a child, mainly soul, disco, funk and northern soul.
A resident of one of the Norths biggest brands, Culture which has had renowned DJ’s play every single show, supporting the likes of Elliot Adamson and Dixon Avenue basement jams most recently.
Jonny also opened a successful night club entitiled “Electric Soup” which has produced sold out show after sold out show since opening.
Jonny has played some of the scenes biggest events and clubs, including a residency with Emerge, Sankeys ibiza, several boat parties and this year will see him grace stages at his at least 4 UK festivals confirmed this summer.
After 3 summers pushing his music in Ibiza this year it seems to be the one making it all worth it. With requests from huge stars such as Doorly requesting him to play at his party's which have included in the past Pikes hotel, Cafe Mambo, Hi ibiza and many more. Another residency with summer and winter residency with Emerge this year will yet again see him playing all over the country and all over Ibiza.
Jonny is a true example of ‘hard work pays off’ with him putting his life into this scene to ensure he will succeed and 2018 is looking to be his biggest year to date!
