Anyone use Pinterest? I made a group board for LEATHERCRAFTERS! This is a board you can share your projects, items you sell, and digital patterns. As long as you pin something with a link to where you sell it, it should get the items you make in front of more eyeballs with organic traffic.

My Pinterest account gets an average of 66.8k monthly views, October I got 1395% organic traffic (Year Over Year) from Pinterest to my Etsy. Joining group boards is a big component of getting organic traffic, but finding group boards for leathercrafters is hard. The ones I'm in, usually leather is a folder within a much larger board, and can be easily overlooked. What I wanna do here with this board is make leather crafting and goods the focus!

PS I took the liberty to share some friends' items and backlink to their shop. The thing is, if you pin your own items from a Business Pinterest (free btw), you get cool things like extra statistics and data. I only see data for my own original pins, not anyone else's.

I talked about this whole thing on stream today; comment any questions!

Flashback to when I decided to take on a super ambitious costume and make it all out of leather!! All the pieces you see with exception of shorts, shoes, wig, and rope is ALL veg tan leather from ! I created a pattern for all of it and hoped everything would fit the same once glued and snapped together. Many pieces have snaps like the armband, the bracers, the greaves and a very complicated system around the waist to hide ate snaps and make it look like it’s all one piece connected together. I used cova colors and after they dried I buffed the red with black cova color to darken it up a bit. Turned out excellently!
