Picture this; two attractive friends in their forties living in Rural Ireland, both with a passion for gin, dogs, clothes, handbags and dancing! Over a couple of drinks one night the two friends decided Online dating was not for them personally and after a fruitless search for single’s events for the over 40s came to the conclusion that there was a gap in the market for fun loving people who want

something different. Hence Sparks was created!

Our personal experience was that it was too easy to get caught up in the thrill of online dating, only for it to often result in untruthful profiles, comical photos and disappointing dates! We felt it was hard to really gauge someone online – we are both traditionalist’s and social butterflies – preferring not to judge a book by its cover but rather to meet someone face to face and see if there is attraction or that special “spark” and a knowing look in their eyes to make you believe there may be a chemistry between you.

Ireland was in a need of single’s events for the over 40s, the best single’s nights on offer, but also events to gather like-minded people together, with a zest for life, in a safe and fun environment. We really hope you enjoy coming to one of our single’s events – the feedback so far has been really positive.
