My favourite photos are the candid ones. The captures of real emotions in real time. Snippets of memories that would otherwise be forgotten if the camera were not around.

There’s definitely a time for more sentimental shots, but this is why it’s so important to choose a photographer who understands your brief. Who gets to know what you like; don’t like; and what you are comfortable with.

Hello to all the newbies here!

For those of you who have followed for a while, you’ll know I like to re introduce myself every so often so you get to know the face behind the planning 📝

I started my company .destinationevents 12 years ago (this will be our 13th year - gosh time flys!) and I’ve loved every moment of it.

I love meeting and getting to know my clients. I love listening to all their ideas, picking them out of their brains and rearranging them to create something unique and exciting for them. I’m very bubbly and love a good time. I love the fast pace and the ever changing decisions. If I’m not juggling 10 plates in the air at once I’m not satisfied 🤣 I’d say pivoting on the spot is my forte 😉 which, in the wedding industry happens A LOT!

I work really well under pressure - in fact I’d say it’s when I’m under pressure that I operate the best. I find a sense of calm and clarity, so it’s probably quite the lucky accident I fell into this industry.

You see it was never my dream or goal to be a wedding planner. But after 3 decades in Indonesia in other industries, I had so many friends asking me to help with events, and back then, the few wedding planners on the island only offered packages.

I wanted to create something bespoke. Something where my couples could design a day that reflected who they were all while being in total control of their budget without the unnecessary add-ons.

And voila, here we are with an ever growing team who I’m so so proud of and represent the Plan A ethos to a T.

Three fun/facts about me?
1. I have an irrational fear of sea cucumbers
2. Cooking is how I relax
3. Travel is my passion and I want to learn as many languages as I can!

Mix n match table decor - I love it.
I love that every guest has a personalised table setting, different to their neighbour.
I love that photos from any angle will always look different. It’s fun. It’s whimsical. And you can play with this look for both a classic setting as well as something more playful.

Feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of vendors in Bali? Who’s worth it, who’s not? How do you choose between them all?

Previous couples experiences are always a great way to gauge this, but if you have a good planner, they’ll always be able to tell you who would be best for you based on your needs and requirements.

I’ve spent literal years trying, tasting, experiencing different providers and I now have a nice neat file which covers all the vendors who I can vouch for in terms of quality, value, presentation, price point and attitude.

I will always give choices and let my clients make the final decision, but I ensure the pool they’re choosing from is elite and only put forward the vendors that I feel best match my clients criteria.

This way the client can still be in control, and I know whoever they choose will be amazing, and may even share a laugh with you and your guests on the day!

When all 165 of your guests fly over for your Big Day!

Such an epic day and night. A gargantuan task of shipping everything over to Nusa Ceningan…from the furniture to the bar, the florals to the sound equipment. But it was all worth it a million times over because there’s nothing quite like this venue!
Private, spacious, and the epitome of what Bali weddings are all about.

Drinks were flowing, people were dancing and even the sun came out for a play in the middle of rainy season - thank you Mr Rain Stopper!

It’s a bonus when the bride and groom are absolute sweethearts! Congratulations once again ❤️
