I feel I’ve been too quiet on Instagram the last few years mainly due to choosing my priorities and social media was way down the list of those (still is). It also started feeling like something I had to do every day and like an annoying chore. Likely my own mindset but I know many of you can resonate. I enjoy living my life off screen and appreciate a sense of privacy, which I know my clients do as well.
When I started Instagram in 2012 it was solely for sharing images that brought me joy, a creative outlet. I’ve decided to start approaching it with that relaxed attitude again. Not for the likes, and not trying to be as business minded or strategic about it (not that I was ever any good at that anyway! 😂) but just to share what I love, what inspires me and when I feel like it. For maybe more of a glimpse into my life at times, so you get to know the person behind the profile and what’s important to me. More for the joy of it and supportive community I truly do feel exists in this space. I can honestly say I’ve made wonderful connections through this platform over the years and even though many of you no longer see my posts anymore, that’s okay.
I’ve had this dream job for nearly 11 years now and I’ve been so lucky to be a part of countless beautiful weddings because of the incredible clients who trust me to plan, design and coordinate one of the most exciting and special days of their lives.
I hope you all enjoy seeing more snippets and moments from these events through the years.
I’m also hoping what I choose to share will serve my existing clients, engaged couples, the wedding industry, and that it will inspire some of you and put more beauty into this world, because there’s never enough beauty.
This is not a very thought out post by any means, more of a post for my own accountability and if it fails for whatever reason, I may just hire that social media manager I’ve been talking about for years! 😅
