FYI …..Job titles regarding event (language of course varying in every market). Compare your own concepts

1. Event Designer - creates mockups for the design and feel of an event, possibly including activities. Creates the vision, aligning with the purpose and branding of the client. May even recommend vendors - doesn't typically book them.

2. Event Manager - manages all aspects of putting together the event. Could include design, or just take the vision from the designer, but definitely books all vendors, sets schedules, creates the logistical plans for the event, and controls the budget. Oversees any Event Decorators/Coordinators/Assistants/Technicians.

3. Event Coordinator - Oversees setup the day(s) of the event based on the plans provided. Quality control. Meets vendors, manages client shows/wedding, puts out all fires.

4. Event Producer - does all of these! Design, budgeting, setup and decor, day-of and show-calling, etc. Project Manager. Sees things through from beginning to end, holds the client's hand every step of the way. Will oversee Event Technicians day(s)-of to execute the event, and often has an Event Assistant for larger events.

5. Decorator - does the decor setup, May or may not do the actual designing - but in my experience, they do also design.

6. Event Technician - the bodies on the ground day-of that setup decor, furniture, etc or have a specialty like lighting, video, or even security.

FYI: when asking for recommendations on social media DO NOT use words like "must be affordable" "inexpensive" "not trying to break the bank". INSTEAD give a price range of the amount that you're comfortable spending. Price is relative to YOU. What's expensive to you maybe pennies to someone else. What's affordable to YOU may be expensive to someone else. It saves the customer & the business a lot of wasted time. The businesses that are out of the stated price range won't even respond to the post...thus no time has been wasted for either party.
