Step into a world of color and vibrancy as we journey through Julissa and Jorge's enchanting engagement session at the Los Angeles Arboretum, also known as the Arcadia Arboretum. Nestled amidst the lush foliage of mid-May, the arboretum was a kaleidoscope of blooming spring flowers, perfectly complementing the love story of this beautiful couple.
As the photographer behind the lens, I thrive on capturing the organic beauty of nature alongside the genuine connection shared between my subjects. Julissa and Jorge's love was the centerpiece of every frame, beautifully framed by the vibrant hues and natural landscapes that surrounded us.
With my trusty prime lenses - the 85mm f/1.4 for exquisite portraits and the versatile 35mm f/1.4 for capturing the couple amidst the breathtaking scenery - I aimed to encapsulate the true essence of their love story. Armed with my Sony A7III, I sought out open shade, natural reflectors, and dappled light filtering through the canopy of leaves, even during the unconventional hours of late morning.
While many photographers prefer the golden hour for its warm, romantic tones, I find beauty in the unorthodox light of mid-morning. The bright California skies and strong daylight lend an unparalleled vibrancy to the colors, saturating every image with richness and depth. From the vivid yellows and greens to the deep purples and oranges, each photograph radiates with the energy of the arboretum's flora and the love shared between Julissa and Jorge.

⏳‘From the time of early historical accounts to the present day, people have recognized that cyclic or rhythmic patterns are an integral part of the functioning of all dynamic systems.
🌌Originating at a level probably outside of our own universe, these cycles affect all other dynamic systems residing within our universe.
🔆In a stair-step or dominolike manner, the cosmic cycles affect our universe, which then affects the solar system, which then affects the Earth, and so on down through Earth's climate, seasons, inhabitants, right down to the smallest particle within an atom.
⚛️Since all things are integrally connected in this way, everything affects everything else. Nothing escapes this process.
☯️If we are truly meant to be one with the universe, shouldn't our lifestyles be synchronized with nature? What would that experience really be like? How does our lack of synchronicity with the universe affect us?
🦋Since the time of Hippocrates, it has been known that human beings, like animals, have specific daily and seasonal rhythms. As a matter of fact, Hippocrates himself thought this to be so important that he recommended that all individuals who wished to study medicne should first become fully aware of seasonal changes and the coincidental changes within animals and humans.’

How it all began
My first camera broke after having it for one day (age 12)...It wasn’t until after graduating college (with a degree in Finance, year 2008, that I never used…) that I picked up my next camera on a trip to Portland to photograph the Autumn leaves. Since then my camera and I have traveled through Europe, the Middle East, India, North America, and we tend to find ourselves at the ocean or in the desert capturing skies, scale, and solitude with intense light and colors.
