🎉🌴🌺We have finally returned to the island for a wonderful trip to the mainland to see our families over the holidays (thus the very sparse posting!) and we are so excited for what 2025 holds for our weddings to come! 💍💓🌊🌴

🎄🌺🥰Merry Christmas from us to all of you!!🎄🌺🥰

We’ve been a little bit behind on the social media the past couple of weeks as we finished up our year of weddings and prepared for our three-week trip back to the mainland to visit family over the holidays! We made it safely to my parents’ house on Sunday, and it’s VERY cold - with some snow - and beautiful and Christmasy!

We’ve had an amazing year of weddings and vow renewals, and can’t wait for next year!

🥰💍🌺Many of our weddings are family affairs! Sarah and Fred have a “Brady Bunch” amount of kids in their combined family, and everyone held a lei for someone during the ceremony, and all of them received leis after Sarah and Fred exchanged their own leis in the lei exchange, and this is just ONE of the ways the kids were involved. 💗

We are always happy to help our couples who are blending families together find ways to make the ceremony significant and special for everyone. 💕🌊

“I’m leaking! I never leak!” - Ken, the “groom”, while dabbing his eyes during the ceremony. 🥰

Last week was chock full, so I’m a little bit behind on posting, but I wanted to share some of the cell phone photos (professional ones to come soon!) of a very special event that took place Saturday morning: the 50th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal of Dana and Ken, the parents of a bride I married 5 years ago!💍🎊🥰

When former bride Carrie contacted me a few months ago, she shared that she, her husband, sister, and parents were coming here to the Big Island to celebrate her parents’ 50th anniversary, and that her parents had always talked about how much they loved her ceremony that I’d performed all of those years ago… So she thought a vow renewal with us would be just the thing to make this celebration special. 🥰💕

It was so much fun to plan, and there wasn’t a dry eye as the ceremony rolled on, in addition to so much love and joy!! 💓🌺💗

Sixteen years ago today, Matt and I said, “I do!” right here in Kona - my first time to the Big Island, in fact!💍💓🌅🌴🥰 Best decision ever.🥰💕

Little did we know that a few years later we’d move here, and start performing weddings for so many others in this beautiful place! 🌺💕

💕One of the coolest things about getting married 💍 here on the Big Island of Hawaii is that in addition to sand🏝️, we have lots of cool lava features 🌋 right by the water 🌊that make for dramatic wedding locations that require little to no dressing up to be amazing!😍🌴

Even better, here on the Kona side, you also get our spectacular sunsets!🌅 💓

Last night, we had the honor of performing the 10th Anniversary 💍💕vow renewal for these two very dear friends of ours! 🥰💗😘

Gayle and Margaret have been together for 32 years, but it was only 10 years ago (just before the time we started doing weddings) that they were finally able to make their marriage legal - finally! When they did, a hurricane rolled through town and their plans for a beach ceremony had to be rearranged.

Last night, however, for their 10th Anniversary vow renewal, the weather was just idyllic and the sunset (clearly!) a stunner. 🌅😍 Matt took photos for them on their phone, and I snapped this beautiful moment on my own cell for them post-service. It was such an honor to perform and to witness such heartfelt love.💗

Congratulations again, Margaret and Gayle! We love you!💕💗
