As I sit here making new mixes for work this weekend, I take the time to reflect on the fact that in my 10th year of my music career, my goals have never once faltered.

It has always been about more than just DJing; I strive to make a mark, to break glass ceilings, to march to the beat of my own drum so hard that I carve out my own space in this music scene. I always wanted to not just play great music; I want to use the platform I created to showcase the incredible music from artists that exists that may not be getting the proper backing they deserve. It's by no means that mainstream artists have better music; it's usually artists lacking the resources to get their music to the next level.

I don't generally like to vocalize what I do because I like the art to speak for itself. However, I do feel it's important to share why I do what I do because there has always been and always will be a bigger picture: representation matters. I also know what it's like to be held back from executing incredible dreams because of a lack of resources, and to succeed, it does take a village.

My dance floors are a safe space for all who share the same love of music that I do. Not for a single genre, but for all. I love music, and I love to experience and learn how to appreciate different kinds. Anyone who's tuned into my music can hear this reflected in my sound.

With that said, as I continue to into my 10th year of DJing, I will stay true to my original vision, I will continue to educate as I entertain, and I will keep spotlighting the artists and music that deserve center stage. ❤️

What an incredible week in Dallas; I couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the New Year! Thank you everyone who made New Year's Eve at the Eagle one amazing night! A very special thanks to Larry and Jose for the wonderful hospitality and amazing adventure we had this past week. It's been one hell of a ride this week, and I am so happy to have shared this moment with so many great friends both old and new. As we enter this new year, I can't help but to smile. There is one difference between last year and now; hope. I didn't realize until now how powerful it is to have hope on your side, and I am so damn glad I've found it again. May this year bring nothing but hope, happiness, and the strength to persevere through those inevitable tough times.
