Just loving how our faux Deconstructed Arch frames these beautiful gates at ! We will be visiting The Hare again this weekend - but this time for a twinkle light installation.

Remember those 200 cylinder vases we were cleaning and organizing? Yup, THIS came out of that. We used a combination of floating candles and wax sand candles down 16 tables. I can't wait for the photos from the photographer to see it all lit up!

Our "memory" signs don't have to be just for a memory table - they can be at a seat in your ceremony space too. This couple included it to save a seat for the groom's mom - who definitely would have been there if heaven wasn't so far away.
And no, I don't think a memory table brings sadness into your day...I think it brings thoughtfulness. REAL STORY: I was finishing up a set up for a ceremony a couple of years ago and I overheard a guest as she came into the ceremony space (she must have been either the mother of the bride or groom, or an aunt). When she saw how the couple had managed to bring in the memory of loved one into their ceremony space via a sign and a photograph, she was overjoyed and teary and kept saying in astonishment "I can't believe they did that".
As someone who has recently lost a loved one, I would definitely feel very touched (and teary) if my daughter would include her uncle in her ceremony/reception.

I often get asked if an arbour can be reused from ceremony to reception. Unfortunately it is not a clear answer...it really depends on a few factors:
- which style of arbour is it? Some of our arbours have to be completely dismantled and set up again because they shouldn't be moved once set up
- is the ceremony and reception at two different venues? If so, the arbour can only be transported dismantled and will have to be set up again
- are there stairs or an elevator that have to be used in order to move the arbour. Can it fit through doorways or in the elevator? If not, it may need to be dismantled and reset in the new location.
You can imagine dismantling the arbour and resetting it takes time. Basically we are re-doing our work in a short allotment of time. This is why, some arbours are not eligible for movement from ceremony to reception.
From our inventory, the arbours/arches I recommend for moving within the same venue are:
- our hoop arches or circular arch
- the silk floral Deconstructed arch
- the silk floral Rosetta Pillars
- our copper arch
- our Serendipity arch (the one featured in these pictures)
These ones can be moved (two people required)
So in answer to your question: yes, it can be done if you choose one of the arbours listed above and if the ceremony and reception are in the same venue (provided the doorways are tall enough). Please note that there is a service fee for moving arbours (and other ceremony decor) to your reception space.

Yup, that's me...you might be wondering how I got here...it's simple really:
1. Study and graduate as a Systems Analyst only to not work in that field a day in your life
2. Work in the hospitality industry forever and a day
3. Plan your own wedding
4. When there is an opening for wedding coordinator/group sales at the hotel you work at, take it
5. Work all the events there from meeting with the client, showing them the venue, booking the event and executing it and staying with them til the end
6. Realize you love the set ups and seeing all the decor come together so you start your own decor business - all while having your full time job plus a part time job (and a family to raise)
7. Slowly start reducing your work week at your other jobs to focus on your business until you let them go completely to do what you love fulltime
8. Keep building your inventory until you outgrow your basement, then storage containers, then storage facilities, and finally you get your own Studio.
9. Enjoy the process!
It's been a journey! My only regret is that I didn't start this path sooner...but if we change one thing, it might have changed the outcome.
