Please be advised that the Florida Region Board of Directors has had to make the difficult decision to cancel our event scheduled for November 2-3 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. As of this afternoon, we had only 35 entries for the SARRC/Regional and 7 entries for the TE. The track made us a very generous offer that if we canceled by close of business today, they would not charge us a cancellation penalty; if we waited past today and canceled, they would have charged us a 50% penalty of the total track rental fee (our 2-day weekend rental fee is $25,000 + tax, which is going up to $30,000 next year).

We hope that with the reduced number of events that we will be conducting in 2025, we will see more involvement of our drivers in each one.

Please remember that the championship points have been accumulated for both 2023 and 2024 to determine class champions (see current point standings on our website), with trophies to be given out at our Awards Banquet on December 7th. We're about to open registration for the Banquet - PLEASE attend, it will be a fun evening!

To all Florida Region Competition License holders,

As of today (October 16th), our upcoming event at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 2-3 has only 25 cars registered. We are contacting the track to see what the penalty would be IF we cancel the weekend, because we cannot continue to operate events with so few entries.

SO, IF YOU HAVE ANY INTENTION OF ENTERING THIS EVENT, PLEASE DO SO IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS, so that we can see what level of entries we get to. We do NOT want to have to cancel the weekend, but if the track will let us cancel for a penalty that would be substantially less than how much we would lose if we put on the event, and we don't see a decent pick-up in entries in the next couple of days, we may have to do so.
