We are deeply saddened to hear that Pat Pusill (Burnham-on-Sea SC / Norton Radstock) passed away on Sunday evening at Weston hospital.
Since 1995, the County has awarded the Wyvern Plate annually "for outstanding service to the County over a period of years", chosen from nominations received from affiliated Clubs.
Over 28 years, Pat was the only person ever to have received such recognition twice - 2004 and 2018.
Alyson Bashford presented Pat with her 2018 award. Listen to the citation and ovation in the clip below.
The family would like to make a memory book to look and read peoples fond memories of Pat. Please send them in to [email protected].

You will need to be cool under pressure, enjoy talking over the microphone and have a clear and commanding voice.
It is great if you have a playlist of songs suitable for the meet. We can link it up to the PA system to build the atmosphere, but don’t worry if not we always have a backup plan and a playlist on Spotify courtesy of a previous announcer. (Thanks Tess!)
We are happy to mentor anyone who wants to have a go, It really isn’t that bad when you get going and you'll get the second best seat in the house!
