The Story
‘Destiny’ shares a common theme with most great musicals; it’s a love story. As they reach adulthood, they each make wrong choices with other partners, but eventually, they meet each other. What is their destiny! In the tradition of Bernstein, Sondheim and, more recently, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, ‘Destiny’ combines a strong story
with dramatic dialogue and songs which bring the narrative to life. If you enjoyed West Side Story and Evita … you will enjoy ‘Destiny’! The Concert
Songs from the musical is not, of course, the full musical but a concert to showcase fifteen of the songs that will play an important part in the final production. The songs will be connected to the story by a narrator who will ensure you understand the significance of each by telling where they fit into the musical. The concert will be performed with two singers, piano/synthesizers, bass/electric bass and percussion (drums/vibraphone). When and Where
