Man, summer has been a bit crazy for us here at The Pinata Mama!

We are just now getting to share the completed Tanjiro Kamado from the anime show, Demon Slayer piñata we made from a few weeks ago as a surprise for a very special birthday boy from his Mom!

This piñata was a little out of our element as we don’t watch a lot of anime but as always, we are always up for the challenge even if we are not familiar with a certain character/brand or whatever the theme is you may be wanting but we will study whatever it is you want as a custom piñata and we will make sure to turn it into the piñata your envisioning for your event.

We are absolutely thrilled with the way this one turned out!

A note from The Pinata Mama -

On behalf of myself and my family, we’d like to take time to thank all of the courageous, selfless, brave men & women who have served in our nation’s military who have lost their lives in the line of duty, fighting so that each one of us as US citizens can be free. In your memory, I will do my duty as a Mother to make sure my children know your stories and your sacrifice’s and will do my absolute best at raising the best next generation of citizens of the United States of America.

On this day, I would also like to remember and thank all of the families & friends to those who served and lost their lives as they too have sacrificed so much within their loved ones. Many of them lost spouses, parents, friends, and more. That is a pain and heartache that I know for many, is still raw no matter how long ago (or recent) their loved one passed and that today dredges up a lot of grief as they not only are full of pride for their loved one and the sacrifices they made but also for the longing of wanting them here. You too, are remembered, appreciated and thought of each and every day.

We are proud to be American’s and each man & woman who has died fighting for this beautiful country will not be forgotten or taken for granted.

Where are our anime fans?!

We just got a new order for a young boy’s 10th birthday to make the character, Tanjiro from Demon Slayer!

This ought to be a fun challenge as we don’t watch anime and we are not familiar with the character but we are always striving to learn and please our customers. We are open to trying to create anything!

Where’s my Bluey lovers at?!
We are a 110% Bluey household and my husband & I have totally watched Bluey while the kids were not home more than once and laughed like little school children. Some of our favorites? Whale Watching, Omelette & Grouchy Granny!

Our daughter wanted a Chattermax piñata and this was the first one I ever made that made me realize not only did I love making piñatas I was good at them too!

We are so excited & proud to share with you the final product of the Scooby - Doo & Doughnuts piñata we made for a very special little man’s 4th birthday!

He requested a piñata that incorporated both Scooby- Doo & Doughnuts so I put on my thinking cap and came up with a couple different designs that would work and this is the one that he chose. This was by far the biggest & most technical piñata we have made yet but we are so super excited & proud of how it turned out.

Seeing the birthday boy’s face that was so full of excitement & wonder made it all the more special.

I love to share other small businesses & especially when they are friends of mine & veteran owned!

Check out my friend, Megan’s business that she just recently opened, Hyperfix Cyhanick.

She and I go way back and is blessed with many different artistic talents.

She crochet’s and has made Easton a BEAUTIFUL baby blanket with a Raccon (and other woodland animals) and she’s made so many other really cool projects and has several of her pieces for sale on her website. One of my other favorite pieces she has created was a playmat for her son for his hot wheels cars and it was a whole little town, and she left no detail out.

She also paints and has created numerous beautiful paintings. I am sure if you are looking for something specific she could create a custom commission for you.

She also creates jewelry once and a whole too all while being an amazing Mama to her son.

As you could probably gather I hyper fixate on each of my hobbies and cycle through them quite often. I cant find a nishe because I have too many interests and I feel like the ability to have so many hobbies that set your soul on fire should never be considered a bad thing. Like EVER.

Starting off the New Year with a super fun, nostalgic & completely custom pull string piñata for a very special little boy’s 4th birthday who loves Scooby - Doo & Doughnuts!

When starting to sketch out the piñatas we do, we love recycling the materials that we can so we try to use any sturdy boxes we have around/on hand at home and like to sturdy them up using masking tape & hot glue where we need too.

We can’t wait for you all to see the progress as this one gets put together!

Gotta Catch ‘Em’ All!

How adorable is this Pikachu I designed for my son’s 6th, Pokémon themed birthday party?!

He LOVES Pikachu and has been waiting for this Pikachu pull string piñata for months.

Every single time I would make another piñata for a customer he would keep talking about he could not wait for his Pikachu themed piñata so to see the smile on his face the day he came home from school to see this finished custom piñata sitting on the dining room table to go to his party that weekend was 110% worth the blood, sweat and tears I put into this piñata.

I am so grateful that he trusted his Mama to create something so special for his party.
We had so much fun doing the piñata and the Pokeball Punch activity we also had.

After the crazy week I’ve been having I am pretty sure people have been saying, “She’s Out Of Her Mind!”

Super excited to be working on a piñata (OG style, which is not a pull string but instead one you smack!) for a special little boy’s birthday!

Can’t help singing, “What’s My Age Again!?” while feeling super old but super impressed at the same time because I went to school with his Mama (we won’t say how many years ago that was 🤣) and he’s wanting a Blink-182 theme (great job on the music representation, Mama!) and that was a band I know his Mama and I have jammed out to in our younger days.

So I get to make a Blink-182 themed piñata which is a task…but a fun, nostalgia filled one!

On behalf of The Piñata Mama team-

We are wishing our good friend’s, Matt & Maleah and their whole entire team over at Uncle Matty's Eatery, a Happy 10 Anniversary today!

When my husband and I moved into our small town right around the time UME opened we became regulars and even though we don’t get to go into UME as much now because of the kids we still keep in touch and spend majority of our date nights over there.

When I had announced I was opening, The Piñata Mama, Matt was my first, big customer (meaning owning a business (very successful at that!) of his own too, where lots of people would be seeing this piñata) as he approached me to make a piñata of his logo for their 10 year anniversary. He had told me we had helped him get his feet off the ground and now it was his time to return the favor and honestly, not only was it a HUGE honor but it made me feel so good that he was willing to take a risk on me to create something so special for such a huge milestone as a business owner.

So without further ado, check out the beautiful pull string piñata we made for UME of their logo (just the front in the picture) in the picture below. This was such a fun piñata to make that definitely kept me on my toes and made me use my creativity for good!

When I delivered this pull string piñata on Friday the biggest and best payment was seeing the smile on Matt’s face when he saw it, as well as one of dearest childhood friends who happens to also be an employee there, Bridget as well as the local patrons who were dining in and picking up carry out orders.

We are wanting to wish one of our favorite kids in the world, Wyatt, a very Happy 4th Birthday today!

We hope you have the best day buddy and hope you loved your surprise, Captain America Funko Pop Style Pull String Pinata!

It’s not very common we get to stick around and watch the piñata get opened up / enjoyed and it was a blast watching all the kids guess who was going to get the magic string and then watching them dive for the candy and toys was even sweeter. The best part of the afternoon was Wyatt’s squeal of delight as he saw his piñata and how happy he was with it!

Looking for something to do this week?

Head on out to the ( ) Carroll County 4H & FFA fair at the Ag Center in Westminster, Maryland.

Watch the kids in the show ring, check out the animals in the barn and at Stars & Stripes Petting Corral, check out all the exhibits 4Hers have made in the building, watch the hot dog/pig races, blacksmith, chainsaw artist and glass blowing and download the fair schedule to not miss any of the events coming up like the annual cake auction on Wednesday night or the livestock sale! These kids work so hard so let’s show up and support them!

While you’re at the fair, be sure to check the silent auction out in the Shipley Arena as we donated a custom Pinata (winner will have choice on design & what type of pinata they’d like to have) to bid on to win and raise money for fellow 4H & FFA kids which is very important to us considering The Pinata Mama herself is an alumni 4Her.
