There is nothing like being hired to bring someone's vision to life, but with every event, there's a hurdle, and of course, you have to get as creative as possible.. Because of a thunderstorm, we had to do both the wedding ceremony and the reception inside in the same room..so we flipped the room seamlessly into 2 different looks... The wedding & reception turned out fabulous!!

We all have dreams, passions, and goals that ignite our inner fire. These desires are the driving forces that push us to reach for the stars and live a life that aligns with our true purpose. But often, the fear of what others might say, or think can hold us back from pursuing these dreams. It's crucial to break free from your comfort zone, regardless of others' opinions.

Your dreams are unique to you. They are born from your innermost desires, talents, and aspirations. No one else can fully understand the depth of your dreams or the passion that fuels them. Remember that your life is yours to live, and your dreams are yours to pursue.

Comfort zones are cozy, but they are also confining. Staying within your comfort zone might provide temporary security, but it can hinder your personal and professional growth. To achieve your dreams, you must be willing to step into the unknown and embrace discomfort.

That's what I did by expanding my company TMG Unique Event Designs from New York to the North Carolina & South Carolina areas. Our specialty is luxury draping. Has it been challenging "YES" Was it easy "NO"? We had to keep pushing for doors to open and showcase our talent and what TMG has to offer.

Our event décor design company had its roots firmly planted in the vibrant event scene of New York. We have successfully orchestrated countless weddings, corporate gatherings, and social events, earning a reputation for creativity and excellence. But as we looked ahead, we saw the opportunity to share our expertise and passion with a wider audience.
Expanding to North and South Carolina was a significant leap into the unknown. Different regions meant different tastes, preferences, and market dynamics. Adapting our services to cater to a different clientele was a daunting task. We faced challenges like understanding local competition, navigating regional regulations, and building a network from scratch.

The journey of expanding our event décor design company from New York to North and South Carolina was undeniably challenging, but it was also immensely rewarding. It taught us the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the power of believing in our dreams. I hope my story serves as inspiration for those who dare to dream big and take bold steps toward achieving their vision, no matter the challenges they face. In the end, triumph is sweeter when you've conquered adversity, and we couldn't be prouder of our journey from New York to the Carolinas.

I must say the feedback was amazing as always. We must have spoken to about 3000+ brides & families at our booth 619. Our team executed this weekends plan 1000%. The smiles on the attendees' faces were priceless. They loved the creative drapery designs,

In between goals you know this thing called life comes knocking on your door, with me losing a family member recently is never easy, I have managed to keep pushing through. One of the things that keep me going and I’m so grateful for is being able to design and transform beautiful events and being a part of my client’s special day because every day is not going to be a happy day. Hi, I'm Tessa Gerald.
I am a transformational event designer, have over 14 years in the hospitality industry and over 20 years of experience as a special event designer and a certified event wedding specialist. My mission is to create elegant room design transformations for clients who are getting married, celebrating anniversaries, having milestone events, corporate or Non-Profit launches, employee appreciation, holiday celebrations, and many other occasions. I provide my clients with a stress-free, effortless event executed to their wishes. I truly believe that with the right event designer, your ideas and visions can become reality. There is no event too small or too large for me and my team to handle. We execute seamless events for our clients. I have the résumé and expertise to deliver memorable events of all types. People often ask me.. how did I get started? So here is the “Cliffs Notes” version of my story... I started creating unique designs at small celebrations in my home for family and friends. Having a love for entertaining and attention to detail, I wanted to gain more experience in large venue settings, so I began working in the hotel hospitality industry. I had a plan, I started as an event coordinator, and eventually worked my way up the hotel corporate ladder and became Banquet Manager. In this role, I oversaw banquets and restaurant operations with a staff of 25 plus. This experience was an invaluable education on providing five-star customer service for a wide range of customers and events: multi-cultural (Asian, African American, Indian, and Italian) weddings, social events, corporate meetings for over 1500 attendees, spatial relationships, etc.; This also provided the knowledge base for me to open my business. After ten years of crafting my visions for others, in 2000 I took my talents in conjunction with my experience in the hotel hospitality industry and ventured out and formed “TMG Unique Event Designs”. Today TMG Unique Event Designs is an accomplished company that creates seamless events that showcase our client's sensibility and style with effortless ease.
