DJ Larry G of Club Underground Los Angeles lost his home in the California wildfires. Fortunately, he and his family are all safe, which is the most important thing. His wife’s co-workers have set up a fund to help them get back on their feet. Spare a thought for all of those affected.

Also, if anyone in DFW wants to arrange a benefit to help everyone affected, let me know, as I’d like to volunteer my services.

Well, 2024 wasn’t exactly the big comeback that I had anticipated for Movement MC. I wanted to do SOMETHING in my 20th year of DJing and 10th year of Movement. Just wasn’t to be, though.

I will never understand DFW's obsession with how the music is delivered on DJ nights. Countless ads for nights that say "VINYL ONLY", but don't tell you anything else about what they play. Is it like this in other cities?

Vinyl, CD, computer, whatever. Just play good music.

What bands are out there in that fit the Movement Music Club mold? Think Britpop, 80s/90s/00s Indie, and Shoegaze. Might be fun to do some collaborations.

And bands, before you start spamming me, I DO NOT have any connections to venues or bookers. I’m just trying to get a feel for what is out there.
