I really don't understand the concept of ghosting. Only one venue I have reached out to in recent months has responded to me, and that was to tell me the price to rent their venue. Everyone else? Nothing. It is ridiculously frustrating. It's been a minute since the last real MMC event. Yes, I've played a few flea markets, but as far as my own event under the Movement Music Club moniker, it has been way too long. Maybe this is the sign I need that it's time to give in?

If you're not interested in what someone has to offer, it only takes a minute to respond as such. At least I know something at that point.

9/21 - James in Minneapolis
9/24 - Stereophonics in Dallas
9/25 - Kula Shaker in Dallas

The Minneapolis trip proved to be an adventure, as we had to drive all the way to the gigs after the air traffic issues of 9/19 in DFW resulted in cancelled flights. You ever done a 2100 mile round trip in 76 hours in a Prius c? I don't recommend it, but at least we have a story to tell! Now I'm trying to figure out how to see Elbow, Miki Berenyi Trio, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club with Humanist in October. At least one of those shows has a Dallas date.

While I have your attention, a bit of an announcement: For now, I am now longer involved with Rhythm & Relics. As with any new venture, you have to look at what works and what doesn't, and tweak things from there. I still believe in the concept of a vendor market in the mid-cities, and I encourage you all to go check out their next market on October 11th. The door is always open for me to be involved again if/when the opportunity presents itself. I wish them all the best! It felt good to play some tunes in public again.

Speaking of tunes in public, I'm still on the hunt for the right spot. Where do you want Movement MC to go? I know you're out there. Let's be having ya!
