Who’d have thought that taking over the decks for a friend so they could take a break as their relief Dj never showed would lead to this? Well, that’s exactly what happened and a nearly 20 year career was born from it.

The love of music started at a young age. Listening to old EP’s in his father’s collection and then using the tape decks and turntables on his family’s stereo to make mix tapes would be G3N3S1S’s first time to mix, never knowing that one day, that would turn into a career and passion.

Today, after holding multiple residencies in both Houston, TX and Los Angeles, CA, as well as a founding member of Phase Theory, a video game sound designer, and having produced his own music, G3N3S1S is a veteran with the chops to show it. He has played a hand in bringing many acts to the Houston area as well as played alongside the likes of Dj Keoki and Tommy Sunshine and helped form the record label NextGen Records.

Dj G3N3S1S went into a self imposed retirement in 2011, but in 2018 came out of retirement going full force working with Dj Morbid and long time business partner, Jason “Bobo” Kaminsky, and Dj Mina of Underworld to bring something new and fresh to the Texas Goth/Industrial scene, Das Maschine.
