The Onion River Jazz Band will strike up the band at 9:45am at First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington (38 South Winooski Ave. in Burlington, VT - https://www.facebook.com/firstchurchbtv/ ) this Sunday the 11th of June and will play during the congregation's 10am worship service & outside after worship during an ice cream social! All are welcome - all are invited - to this joyful tradition that began when our band first formed in 1984!

Did you know that the Onion River Jazz Band got started in 1984 when they formed to play at the first ever "Jazz Sunday" worship service at First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington VT?
The ORJB has gone on to play at venues throughout Vermont and New England and every June returns to FirstChurchBTV - https://www.facebook.com/firstchurchbtv - at 38 South Winooski Avenue in Burlington for Jazz Sunday!

TODAY - June 12 at 10am - is Jazz Sunday and all are invited to join in the joy of celebrating music with the Rev. Joan Newton O'Gorman preaching and the First Church Bell Choir - and Sanctuary Choir led by First Church Music Director Amy Shortt - joining with the ORJB to provide a great selection of joyful music!

The ORJB will get started at 9:45am with a 15 minute prelude - the band will play during the worship - and after outside! Free snacks for all - come and enjoy this great day and celebrate the gifts of the Onion River Jazz Band!

Did you know that the Onion River Jazz Band got our start at First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington in 1984 at the very first Burlington Discover Jazz Festival? Thirty-seven years - and hundreds of performances later - the ORJB is still making the sweet sounds of traditional New Orleans-style jazz. All are invited to enjoy the music and worship at First Congregational UCC in Burlington this morning at 10am - in person (38 South Winooski Avenue; masks required inside) or remotely on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/FirstChurchBTV

New members will be joining... the Rev. Elissa Johnk will be inspiring... and the Onion River Jazz Band will be striking many a celebratory note as we worship - lifting up gratitude and stewardship of the ministries and missions of this community.
