As we celebrate the house music we love today at Koko we have to acknowledge one of the founding fathers who without we wouldn't be dancing at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon in Camden High St.
Larry Levan would have been 70 today and the mark he made in his short time with us will extend so much beyond 70 years.
So much has been said and written but this is one of our fave shows on him by Lenny Fontana and Eddie Gordon as not only has words from the great man himself (plus plenty of house and disco luminaries) but his set from The Paradise Garage's 2nd birthday in 1979.

Another local promoter Mike Ramlakhan is hosting an event tonight over in Stanwell. Kicks off at 8pm. Lovely little venue away from the houses so expect it to be nice and loud!!
A portion of profits are going towards MusicMindMatters charity for musicians. Tickets available via Skiddle

UMAD One is holding its 1st event, so relax with friends and family and gather to listen to the groups DJs in session.

Our next party is just a week away! But seeing as it coincides with Staines Day in the town, we're holding a special open deck session - you get a 20 minute (max) slot for you to spin us your best 5 tunes!!

So if you're budding DJ** and want the chance to show the world (well Staines at least!) your tune selection and mixing skills, get in touch!!

And if we like what we hear, you'll get a slot at the next BBP party in July. So bring your tunes (digital only this time!) and bring your mates but most of all bring your groove!!

Our next party coincides with Staines Day - the annual jolly in the town with a big fete at the Memorial Park.
So as well as the regular line-up of resident and guest DJ's, we're holding an open deck session!
Come and spin us 5 tunes, we'll give you upto 20 minutes to play them and a free drink for your efforts. And if you're a good fit for what we do every month, we'll give a slot in July's party - how does that sound?
