We are looking for an experienced and qualified Health Care assistant to work with a 45 year old lady in her own home.
The lady has a complex, variable condition which makes each day different. One day the lady may need support with social and physical activities whereas another day she will need help with all personal care, turning, feeding and meds being given.
Duties may include:
• Supporting with social and physical activities
• Booking and accompanying to appointments
• Helping with personal care such as showering and dressing
Assisting with eating and drinking
Moving and handling when required
Opening, sorting and filing post
Monitoring individuals’ conditions by taking their temp, HR and BP
Giving meds and monitoring pain relief
Helping with everyday household duties
Offering friendship and lending an empathetic ear.
Planning, prepping and cooking meals
Requirements:
• 1 year previous experience
Flexible with hours
Up to date moving and handling is a must
Positive approach to work
Someone who will enable the lady and give confidence in meeting new people.
Rate of pay:
£8.72 per hour for 3 months probation
£9.00 per hour after satisfactory probation

We are looking to create a small team of carers so a variety of positions are available. When you apply please give details of how many hours you would like to work, what days/shifts you would be available and a start date.
The successful Health Care assistants will need to have a clean DBS and be able to provide two employment references.
