Tanzen Designs offers thoughtful lettering and design for weddings & celebrations. It was born of years of list-making with the hidden purpose of practicing my penmanship and adding flourishes to my own outgoing mail, which led to studying calligraphy techniques and incorporating lettering into my own wedding.
I specialize in envelope addressing and hand-lettering for place cards and es**rt cards; I have a soft spot for traditional paper, but also enjoy the aesthetic of other modern materials like tile, wood, and found objects. My preferred lettering style is lowercase script with accents of sans serif block lettering.
While I’ve enjoyed dabbling in statement pieces like chalkboards and painted signs, I’ve circled back to the individually-personalized aspects of an event. My heart skips a beat (for real) when I get an invitation in the mail with an extra-special envelope or I can see a couple’s personality coming through in a little detail of their wedding. If you’re like me and have tucked away your favorite cards or event keepsakes in a box over the years, Tanzen Designs would probably be a great fit for you.
