Another beautiful Wedding with a gorgeous young couple who met when she was looking to buy a car and he was the Sales guy. I love all Wedding styles, but the level of personal input into a good old backyard Weddings is so amazing. These guys had a few challenges while setting up but the transformation was fabulous. 😍 Unique and just their style. It was such an honour to marry this couple who met over 20 years ago, but re -connected and have found their "soul mate" in each other. A couple of weeks ago I officiated the marriage of this lovely couple at Stockade Botanical Garden in the Rotunda. It was the perfect weather day for making new memories at this special place for them, as it was 6 years earlier they became official in this very garden near the waterfall. 💕 Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hunter 💗🥂

Saturday's Wedding was a beautiful Romantic ceremony between two mature aged soulmates who have found a second chance at love with each other. Tim proposed in front of George Clooneys Mansion on Lake Como, Italy and told me that "if he could make the perfect woman, he would make Carole". And I loved that she said "she thought this kind of love was only true in Fairytales". They are like "2 peas in a pod". Lucky the weather held out for the Ceremony and I enjoyed attending their Reception at West Lakes Golf Club as I knew them via a mutual friend. Such a joyous day for their families and friends. The first of two lovely Weddings this past Weekend was Friday on a farm in the country and I shared the Ceremony with the Groom's Godfather Tim. The groom is my nephew and he married his beautiful Hungarian born soulmate. The Wedding was presented in English and translated for her family into Hungarian by their lovely Interpreter Agi. What a beautiful day of Celebration. Enjoyed some celebrations into the evening, but had to cut it short to get back and rest up for my Saturday Wedding. Congratulations to the newest Mr & Mrs Hooper

What I really love about being a Celebrant is the variety of Love Stories I get to tell and how each Ceremony can be so different. Saturday I officiated the Wedding of Jules the Servo chick & Dazz the Truck Driver, who met at the Truck Stop. Such a laid back and down to earth, true blue Aussie Wedding with the classic Fords and Kangaroos in the background with the reservoir glistening. But the Love and intention remains the same - Congrats Mr & Mrs Harvey. Your Wedding was true blue 💙🥳🎉

Wedding Season has begun 🎉🥳 My Friday Wedding was at Sunnybrae Estate with a delightful young couple who met at Chinese School many years ago. With her making "out of the blue" contact with him over time, their Love Story has blossomed into a beautiful relationship with all the feels of a Marriage made in heaven. I was so honoured to be the Celebrant for these two lovers in mid August @ The Lakes Resort Hotel. Some cute moments throughout the Ceremony with their adorable nephew driving a remote car down the aisle and then lovely personal vows exchanged. It's such a beautiful day to be a part of and it was my pleasure to announce their new Surname, the combination of both.. Congratulations to the newlyweds Mr & Mrs Walsh-Gertau ❤️

Another fabulous day of wonderfully engaging speakers and of Celebrating 50 years of Civil Celebrant's. We were lucky to have the elegant and eloquent first appointed Celebrant in Australia Lois Darcy, give us an insight into the first days of being a Celebrant.
We also learned about marketing ourselves for our business from Linda Hailey, marketing guru. There was info regrading Rituals, moving and interesting speakers Robert Tickner regarding the Justice Reform System and Catherine McGregor on her incredibly interesting and honourable life. So many emotional and insightful sessions, my head is bursting.
Tonight is Celebrating Celebrancy and enjoying a bloody good time had by all!!

Today we also enjoyed an insightful speaker Natalie Dawes who helped us establish some understanding of behavioural intelligence. Behaviour in response to situations is a choice that we can make, but we have our own predominant element which drives us! Very interesting stuff.
And then the charming and inspiring Luke Kennedy who reminded us to nourish our inner soul and move more towards our true, beautiful, unlimited self to find peace & happiness. Wrote so many notes to self. Loved all 3 speakers and the rest of the programme too.
Quiz night tonight - so much fun even if we came equal 3rd.
Last night welcome was a blast meeting new Cele friends 💜

I am so excited to be attending the National Australian Federation of Civil Celebrant's conference in Canberra to be motivated and inspired by incredible humans as guest speakers. After watching the Movie Penguin Bloom last night, today we were treated to an awesome inspiring session with the adorable Sam Bloom and her wonderful husband. So moving and raw, the tears flowed around the room. An excellent time sharing great banter and meeting other fabulous Celebrant's from around the nation and more great speakers to elaborate on later

Ceremony songs are really important to set the tone of your Wedding day. Many songs seem like they make a good choice to walk down the aisle, but it's really important to listen to the whole song and make sure it's not a break-up song. It's also important to make sure the intro isn't too long or too short and that you are not going to be only halfway up the aisle when the song finishes. Don't forget to have a pre-ceremony playlist and exit song too!!

What a beautiful Wedding to be a part of. I had the absolute pleasure of marrying these lovely guys at their friend's home in Nailsworth. Although it was very hot, the beautiful old tree provided the required amount of shade to enjoy their heartfelt nuptials and personal vows. Last Sunday I was very excited to perform a Surprise Wedding for this lovely Family. With family visiting from NZ, they thought it would be a great opportunity to invite their nearest and dearest over for a "Naming Ceremony" for their gorgeous son. Some had guessed what might be happening but they certainly surprised quite a few. It was simple and meaningful and completely casual. I love that there are so many ways you can choose to make your Wedding exactly how you want it to be. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Clough, it was indeed a pleasure.

Hello Spring Weddings 💑
What a stunner we enjoyed for the nuptials of Stacey and Chris at Gomersal Wines, Tanunda yesterday. A perfect day to "Tie the Knot", along with a bit of a difference with Bagpipes for the groom's entrance. Stacey looked like a princess as she entered on her proud Dad's arm and the beautiful and heartfelt personal vows brought a tear to one's eye. Gomersal staff were totally awesome and as we were lucky to be invited for the reception, we enjoyed delicious food and wines throughout the evening. I loved the decor inside with fair lights and rustic charm mingling perfectly together. So many sweet and classy details, it was perfect. Such a special honour to officiate when it's friends involved ❤️
