White, whimsical and garden gathered was the theme for the wedding of Hannah & Ben, featuring my own Ammi Majus, Silene and Nigella. I really loved the movement and texture in this bouquet.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah (who happens to be just a few minutes down the road from me) and . Under Becky’s direction, I learned the art of creating flat lays and the best way to capture them.

The Geums in Sarah’s garden quickly won me over and I found myself working with their delicate, peachy tones to create this soft, seasonal flat lay.

Tulip “Jonquieres”- I grew these just for me, mainly as they’re so expensive. Unfortunately, tulip fire got to them before I did but they’re still as beautiful as I hoped they would be.

I love the beautiful, dusky pinks and creams I used in this bridal bouquet. It’s definitely one of my favourite colour palettes although I’ve seen that bright colours is the predicted trend for 2024 weddings and I can’t wait!
I’m planning lots of new colours/varieties for the cutting patch this year so stay tuned 😁

The tulips are in! There’s over 1000 in this trench alone and a few hundred more in raised beds.
When it comes to planting, I treat my tulip bulbs as annuals so I plant them close together and then when it’s time to harvest, I pull up the whole plant, bulb and all. This gives me a longer stem but also allows me to store them for up to 2 weeks in cold storage.

Picture two shows some of the varieties coming next spring and picture three shows a selection of last season’s tulips.
What tulips are you growing next year?

Throwing it back to four weeks ago when I made this dusky pink bridal bouquet. The muted palette is one of my favourites to work with as it’s so delicate and romantic.
Today I’ve been doing admin for a wedding next month with a very similar palette and I can’t wait to get flowering again!

I’m always looking for an opportunity to make a wreath! Probably one of my top 3 things to make. Made with leftover foliage and flowers from a sympathy arrangement. I much prefer using dried flowers in my wreaths but it’s always fun to work with something different.
Constructed with foam free mechanics as always.

Beautiful British blooms in a bowl (I love a bit of alliteration).
I’m already missing British flower season. It’s a dark and wet day here in West Yorkshire and today I should’ve been planting the spring bulbs.

Dahlias in November. These ones were grown in my home cutting patch and although they’re getting smaller and floppier, they’re still going. I’ll be cutting them all back next week and leaving them in with a thick mulch on top. Hopefully, they’ll survive the winter 🤞🏻

Varieties: George Marlston, Jomanda, Mary’s Jomanda and Linda’s Baby.
