Soda Jerk Presents (SJP) began producing concerts in 1997 and has since become the largest independent live music promoter in Colorado. Mike Barsch started the company in a small office in Boulder, growing the company steadily since. SJP has gone from booking and producing concerts in a wide array of non-owned venues, to owning and operating three of Colorado’s most popular live music clubs: The
Summit Music Hall and Marquis Theatre in Denver and The Black Sheep in Colorado Springs. In 2011, Soda Jerk Presents added veteran concert promoter Peter Ore to its team, creating a powerful union of two of Colorado’s most independently-minded promoters with one goal: to build a full-service independent promotions company based on integrity, hard work, and passion for live music. Soda Jerk Presents now produces over 600 shows a year, a large annual rock festival, and continues to grow in an ever-changing and hyper-competitive market. Soda Jerk Presents is an independent "Do It Yourself" promoter with a professional attitude and the desire to make every show successful. Soda Jerk Presents firmly believes that we can offer a better alternative to the bands we deal with than any other clubs or promoters on the Front Range by offering a personalized experience with mutual respect at the heart of every show. Summit, Marquis, and the Black Sheep is equipped with a full professional sound system and trained techs, and provides a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for the fans.
